Last month, about two weeks before the NFL's Super Bowl, S2 Games held one of their own. Well, okay... so it wasn't quite a "Super Bowl," but it was definitely a fun time playing Heroes of Newerth.
We played two matches of the game, in a 5-versus-5 setting, with my team taking both of them. Included were members of the media from various gaming websites, including RipTen, MMOSite, Voodoo Extreme, and of course Curse. In addition, members of the S2 Games design team were on hand to participate as well. DivA, Nome, Fielding and Buro helped to shore up our ranks and offer advice to those of us not quite as acclimated with the game yet.
I ended up representing for Curse, playing two of my favorite heroes during the matches: Sand Wraith and Pebbles.
The first match we won rather handily, though I got overzealous at times and ended with 19 kills, 4 deaths and a whopping 25 assists thanks to Sand Wraith's "Dissipate" ability.
The second match was a bit more challenging to win, with OhmVE3D carrying us to victory thanks to his impressive 15 kills, 1 death playing as Moraxus.
