Parasite is the name of the latest hero that S2 Games will be introducing to Heroes of Newerth. The hero's description is quite impressive, placing Parasite as an intelligence-based melee hero with great jungling capabilities.
His--or perhaps its--abilities include being able to infest a target non-ancient creep. Parasite then disappears for the duration of the infest, gaining control of the creep and its abilities while also having boosted attack speed. There's also a chance to instantly kill the infested creep, granting Parasite any experience and gold bounty the creep normally rewards.
Parasite's ultimate is quite unique. "Facehug," as S2 has named it, is a single-target ability that causes Parasite to lunge toward the target, dealing damage and transferring any negative effects on Parasite to the unfortunate recipient of the facehug. Beneficial effects on the target are transferred to Parasite, including abilities like Jeraziah's ultimate and magic immunity.
Be sure to watch the spotlight all the way through--you might just feel luckier than if you hadn't. It's a very charming end to the video.
