All it takes is for you to answer one of the following questions over at the Marriland Contest Thread:
- How has Pokemon affected you?
- What have you learned from Pokemon?
- What is your favorite Pokemon experience?
We want to hear your story! We want to hear what it means to be a Pokemon fan. There are a lot of different ways that Pokemon has affected gamers as a whole, so we want to hear how it has affected you. Have you made friends thanks to Pokemon? Has Pokemon taught you valuable life lessons? How did it feel when you first played a Pokemon game? What's your proudest Pokemon accomplishment? These are the kinds of stories we're looking for; anything that fits into one of the above questions will qualify as an entry.
We will be selecting a winner based on the following criteria, so keep these in mind while writing your entry:
- Best written entry. The entry that we feel is the best written in regards to grammar, spelling, quality, and content will win a Nintendo 3DS. We're looking for good, reliable writers with a lot of flair and pizzazz (and knowledge of Pokemon!) to write for Marriland, so this is a great chance for you to write a riveting story of how Pokemon has affected your life.
- Most touching entry. There are so many excellent stories of how Pokemon has helped shape people's life. We're looking for the story that makes us go, wow, Pokemon has really affected your life. It's hard to put to words exactly what this entails, because it could be a really happy story, or it could be a really sad one, but it'll be the one that we feel touches our hearts and souls the most that will receive a Nintendo 3DS.
- Funniest entry. Alright, jokers, maybe your story involves a comedic trial of errors involving Pokemon. Maybe you dressed up as a Pokemon and had a funny experience in a mall or somewhere. Maybe you were playing your Pokemon game and had something outrageously hilarious happen to you. We know Pokemon affects people's lives in a lot of ways, and laughter is definitely one of those ways! We'll be giving a Nintendo 3DS away to the entry that cracks us up the most! So be sure to share your funny Pokemon moments.
- Two RANDOM Curse Premium subscribers' entries. In addition to having a chance to win with one of the above criteria, we'll also be giving away one Nintendo 3DS to two lucky Curse Premium subscribers that enter this contest, chosen at random. Being a Curse Premium subscriber gives you a bunch of cool benefits across the Curse family of sites. It's also one of the best ways to show support for Marriland, as well as Curse as a whole.
This contest will run from December 11th, 2012, at 9:00am Pacific Time (now!) until January 11th, 2013, at 11:59pm Pacific Time. We'll announce the winners on January 18th, 2013. Be sure to read the rules carefully, but above all, enjoy reminiscing about your Pokemon past!
