PC gamers no longer have to wait for the launch of Rockstar's highly anticipated new epic, Max Payne 3! Today, special and standard editions are finally available for purchase from select retailers.
For Max Payne, the tragedies that took his loved ones years ago are wounds that refuse to heal. No longer a cop, close to washed up and addicted to pain killers, Max takes a job in São Paulo, Brazil, protecting the family of wealthy real estate mogul Rodrigo Branco, in an effort to finally escape his troubled past. But as events spiral out of his control, Max Payne finds himself alone on the streets of an unfamiliar city, desperately searching for the truth and fighting for a way out.

Max Payne 3 Multiplayer incorporates the gritty storytelling and intense gunplay the Max Payne games are famous for into an epic online experience. A deep leveling system, a wide variety of maps and game modes, and the all new Crew system which earns you extra XP for playing in crews and creating ongoing rivalries, help create a highly competitive and social multiplayer experience.
GANG WARS
Gang Wars is the heart and soul of Max Payne 3 multiplayer. Using story events from the single-player game as jump-off points for multiplayer matches with dynamically shifting objectives that branch based on the events of the round before, all linked by highly cinematic cutscenes, Gang Wars brings a new level of storytelling and competition to online multiplayer.
LOADOUT
The Max Payne 3 multiplayer experience is deeply customizable ranging from your avatar appearance to creating up to five complete loadouts. Select weapons, attachments, projectiles, items and bursts to suit your playing style. Bursts are special abilities you can equip in your loadout and trigger to give you – and in some cases your entire team – a distinct advantage.
WEAPONS
ASSAULT RIFLES
Found in the hands of military infantry around the world, the Assault Rifle class of weapons in Max Payne 3 are capable of displaying a stunning amount of firepower at very long distances. From the battle-tested AK-47 toted by gang members and drug traffickers like the Tropa Z, to the advanced weapon technology of the imposing G6 Commando, these heavy-duty killing machines can literally make mincemeat of unlucky foes.
THE 1911
An American classic, the 1911 semi-automatic pistol is one of the most versatile weapons in Max Payne's arsenal. Max is able to dual wield this reliable and hard-hitting .45 handgun, keeping him as lethal and agile as possible.
ARCADE MODE
Some intense bonus single-player Arcade challenges have been brought to Max Payne 3! Players can try to top each others' scores at the new Social Club, earning exclusive avatars and XP benefits:
SCORE ATTACK
After you've completed any single-player level, you'll be able to replay it in Score Attack mode, where you gun for the highest score possible - acquiring points for each shot that hits its mark and each adversary you vanquish.
NEW YORK MINUTE
This fan-favorite bonus mode from Max Payne and Max Payne 2 returns as a frantic battle that puts one minute on the clock and awards you with additional time for each enemy that you kill.
A full range of DLC is planned as well. Fans will be able to buy a 'Max Payne 3 Rockstar Pass', allowing players access to all upcoming Max Payne 3 DLC for 2400 MS Points on Xbox LIVE and $29.99 on the Playstation Network. A tentative release schedule can be found here.
