Riot Games has announced that beta testing is underway for League of Legends: Dominion, the brand new, upcoming game mode for their popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game.
We've been able to spend some time with Dominion in the past few months and continue to be impressed with the way that Riot has crafted this new experience. The classic League of Legends gameplay is still at its heart and yet the flow and pace of the matches is completely fresh and exciting.
For those unfamiliar, League of Legends: Dominion is a capture and hold style game mode add-on that Riot Games is preparing to launch. Fans of Call of Duty or Battlefield will instantly recognize the style as reminiscent of Domination or Conquest from those games. Players will be tasked at capturing strategic points on the map and then defending them from enemy champions after they have been secured. The dynamic in Dominion is completely fresh to League of Legends and we know this is going to be a huge addition to the already massively popular game.
