Trion Worlds has announced that their hotly anticipated MMORTS End of Nations will not be launching in 2011 as was previously planned. Instead, Trion is planning for a 2012 release date.
End of Nations is going to be free to play right out of the gate, something that Trion Worlds is passionate about doing right. The company has said that there will be no way to 'pay to win' but rather, if players choose to do so, they will have the option to customize things like unit colors and skins from the in-game store. These extras will be fueled with real-life currency in the form of microtransactions, in lieu of a monthly subscription fee required to play.
