The Pirates of the Burning Sea Mission Designers are working their fingers to the bone creating missions filled with adventure, intrigue and excitement. Nothing brings a story to life more than well thought out characters, and our stories are no exception.
Whether it is the relentless reprobates of The Bloody Arms pirates, the mutinous marines of The Dead Redcoats, the mysterious Sons of Cortez, or the macabre voodoo villainy of Les Samediens, you can rest assured there will be a host of cunning cutthroats pushing their agendas from shore to shore throughout the Burning Sea.
But what maritime marauder worth their salt would strike fear into the hearts of captains near and far, without a fearful flag or sinister sail emblem? That's where you come in, friends!
We've decided to open flag and sail designs for some of our prime villainous groups to the experts — our community!
Every two weeks, information regarding some of the most notorious pirates on the Burning Sea will be shared via our front page, at which point community members are invited to submit their own original flag and sail designs to be judged by Flying Lab Software staff. Winners of these contests have a chance to make a permanent mark on the PotBS game world, and win some great Pirates of the Burning Sea prizes as well!
Every two (2) weeks, a news article will be posted and a thread will be created in our Flags and Sails Forum for contest submissions. The submission thread for week one and two can be found by visiting this link! During each contest period you may submit flag and sail designs to the appropriate thread in the Flags and Sails Forum.
Only submissions made in the appropriate contest thread may be accepted. After two weeks, each thread will be locked and no further submissions will be accepted for that specific mob of miscreants.
Submissions must be original designs submitted by the artist and must be free of any copyright violation, trademark infringement, or other limitation.
Submissions must adhere to the 2D Flag and Sail Submission guidelines, which you can find by visiting this link!
Participants are encouraged to use the 2D Flag and Sail Preview Tool, which can be found in the Downloads section of the Community Content Help Page.
All submissions become property of Flying Lab Software and all flags and sail designs submitted for consideration in this series of contests will not be eligible for individuals to re-submit to the User Content Program.
