Many of us remember the original RO. Released in 2002 by Gravity, Ragnarök Online has been one of those MMORPGs that keep a lot of gamers coming back consistently due to the pure fun and calculative nature of its play. Divided into a series of maps, players exist in a fast-paced fantasy world with massive amounts of character customization to quell the forces of baddies sprinkled throughout the RO universe.
Now, these heroes follow the path of their forefathers through a world of adventure in this dramatic new 3D MMORPG.
Ragnarök Online 2 has been in development for quite some time now, and Asiasoft Online has finally announced today the English beta launch:
"We carefully gathered and implemented plenty of feedback from gamers and fans of the franchise during the development of Ragnarok Online 2, and we believe this game will provide the best MMORPG experience for today's new generation of gamers," said Jeon, Jin Soo , the CTO of Gravity Co., Ltd. (Gravity to decide the spokeperson), who was present at Licence2Play 2012 to meet and greet with gamers. "We are excited to have Asiasoft Online as our publishing partner in this historical launch and we will continue to work closely with them to provide the best Ragnarok Online 2 service in the region."
The first beta will run from December 7th until the 12th, with client downloads and passwords available at http://www.playro2.com/ (Their servers appear to be a bit bogged down at the moment). Just a short time after the end of this beta event, the Open Beta will commence on December 27th, allowing anyone and everyone to experience the lore-filled universe of RO 2.
