
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is an action RPG by 38 Studios and Big Huge Games and based on the writings of acclaimed novelist, R.A. Salvatore! The game is renowned for its huge, explorable world and extremely engaging action combat.
The Curse team and I have had the chance to play the game for the past week or so and we've been thoroughly impressed; especially with the combat.
Above and below are screenshots of my character, who I have taken down the sorcery path towards an Archmage destiny. For me, this game's Chakram weapons have been extremely fun so I have specialized my character in using them.
We found that's the best thing about Reckoning: you can truly customize and shape your character based on your playstyle. So long as you have the coin, fate is flexible in Reckoning and you're able to change your destiny whenever you like.
It's a good thing because Reckoning offers tons of choices, from destinies that are typical of RPG classes, to hybrid mixes. For example, players can become a rogue, a mage, or a hybrid mage-rogue! They also offer something fairly unique: a jack of all trades destiny for those who just want to experience it all.

The combat in Reckoning is unbelievably fun, with flashy moves and abilities and a fairly challenging hard difficulty. The gameplay is fast-paced, engaging and immersive and feels great with a gamepad.
