Trion Worlds has been hard at work on a content update and were proud to announce that beginning March 30th, their brand new MMO Rift will be receiving a content update bringing a ton of new items and massive new invasions.
Beginning on Wednesday, March 30th, Rift players will be given a 'once-in-a-lifetime opportunity' to to be a part of a key moment in the history of Telara and Rift.
When the content update launches, 'Alsbeth the Discordant will lead massive invasions across every zone in Telara, raising legions of liches, ettins, and gravemakers to battle Ascended'. Over the course of roughly one week, players who participate in battling these invaders can earn hundreds of new items, exclusive rewards including a Spectral Horse and a transmogrifying disguise that will turn Ascended into the rotting undead. But as they say, all good things must come to an end and this is the case with the rich rewards offered in the content update; when the rifts are sealed, these items will no longer be available.
If Ascended suceed in repelling the invading forces, they will be able to journey to the 20-man raid zone, 'River of Souls' at the edge of the Plane of Death.
