BioWare has officially launched their popular MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic in Asia Pacific territories, giving players in that region an easier way to connect to their MMO of choice. This means players in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and New Zealand will be able to enjoy Star Wars: The Old Republic on regional servers.
For players who have already picked up Star Wars: The Old Republic and have been making do with other servers, BioWare will be offering the chance to transfer your characters over. This opportunity will arrive in late April, but characters must have been created by February 28th in order to qualify for transfer. As of this time, there are three servers located in Australia; Dalborra (PvE), Master Dar'Nala (PvP) and Gav Daragon (RP PvE).
If you're located in this region, you'll definitely want to check out the FAQ that BioWare has set up to prepare yourself for the character transfer or just to famliarize yourself with the process of joining one of these new regional servers. The FAQ can be found at http://www.swtor.com/.
