BioWare has released a brand new Developer Dispatch for Star Wars: The Old Republic, this time focusing on the Legacy System and changes coming to it in patch 1.2.
The Legacy System is unlocked after completing the first act of Star Wars: The Old Republic. The Legacy System works in addition to regular XP and is gained during the course of the game. Bonuses earned through the Legacy System are bound to your account but not necessarily your character meaning that if you find yourself with a host of alternate characters, the Legacy System has your back. Changes to the Legacy System coming in 1.2 include the ability to create a family tree, create new characters with abilities from your previous characters, unlocking race combinations and other bonuses including a mailbox on your ship.
