Hi-Rez Studios has officially taken their popular first-person shooter Tribes: Ascend out of beta test phase! The game is now available to the general public as a free to play title.
As the game exits beta, Hi-Rez Studios has released a brand new developer diary discussing some of the new features coming to Tribe: Ascend with the launch. One of those new features will be particularly exiting for Tribes franchise veterans - Hi-Rez has pulled out a gem from their catalog of Tribes maps. Tribes: Ascend's new map Raindance originally shipped with the first Tribes game, Starsiege: Tribes.
The developer diary also goes in-depth with the options that players will have when Hi-Rez launches custom servers for the game.
