Last year, THQ officially named and announced the highly anticipated Warhammer 40,000 MMO, bringing excitement to the leagues of fans who are looking forward to the game. Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millenium Online was tentatively scheduled for a March, 2013 release date and more information was expected to be incoming soon.
Unfortunately, the information was all worrisome for fans of Warhammer. THQ is going through some hard times, leading many to question the fate of Dark Millenium and the fate of THQ in general. The company gave a statement today which may ease fans concern or increase it, depending on how optimistic you perceive the statement.
In a conference call yesterday, THQ said: "Because of the large financial commitment and associated risks, we are being realistic about our resources and we are actively seeking a partner for this compelling new MMO. We will keep you updated on our progress." THQ is essentially saying that they don't have the resources to go forward with Dark Millenium on their own. With that being said, however, they are actively searching for a partner who will bring a new skill set to the game as well as more resources.
We'll update you as soon as we learn more! Check out the official website at http://www.darkmillenniumonline.com/ in the meantime.
