Warhammer Alliance has posted an update about balacing the Archetypes and how the 1.3.0b patch will affect gameplay. The author of the article discusses how certain classes might be detrimental to game play and suggests possible changes for fixing these classes. Don't forget to weigh in with your thoughts about balancing Warhammer Archetypes!
Here's a look at a portion of the original post:
This week marks the release of Mythic's latest patch to balance combat in
WAR, patch 1.3.0b. The patch has been heralded as a major rebalancing of WAR in
two primary areas most complained about: AoE and CC. Mythic has also emphasized
time and again that this patch is merely the first step in a new journey to
address the issues and concerns many players have with WAR. The big question on
a lot of player's minds though is: "Will this patch actually balance Bright
Wizards and Sorceresses?"
Some of you may initially dismiss this claim, but I think there is more truth
there than most of us are comfortable or happy with. While AoE and CC are often
cited as the main problem areas in the game, chances are when you noticed how
much they were disrupting your sense of enjoyment with the game, there was a
Bright Wizard or Sorceresses gleefully nuking you and your warband into
oblivion.
The patch we have been given attempts to solve the issues with AoE and CC in
broad strokes. Many concerns have been raised about the specifics of the most
recent patch, but I don't think we're going to see the real impact of the patch
until we've had it on the live servers for a week or two. We're not going to see
if the patch has brought the Bright Wizards and Sorceresses back down to earth
with the rest of us, or if they continue to make the most dominant impression
upon every conflict they enter.

If you going to write insults, at least spell the basic words correctly.
Btw: Apple have automatic spell check built into the OSX platform.
Sorry I not going to spend more money for a operating system, anti virus software and worry, if someone going to hack my computer. I prefer to purchase a game, which is Mac compatible.
Corran_dk: I can see why you never make comments previously and this is your first in over a year joining curse. You have no common sense, you are a follower, not a thinker!
Honestly i prefer PC to Mac, mainly due to the price. I have a free anti virus program called AVG and is quite nice, and have never been hacked. (except one time i had a keylogger. Lost all my d00ds on wow. :/ )
But as many people say, macs are indeed more expensive than PCs. You may want to look into what Bioandroid said, and google Boot Camp til you find a program. Or, you could ask him where to download it. If it does let you play PC games on a mac, it seems pretty nice to me. ;)
Oh btw, my computer costed me about $300, not the greatest comp, but just saying this is how cheap PCs are. :p
Your missing the point, when you compare computers, compare the actual specs with the price. Simply put you are comparing a Ford Mustang with a Porsche. just don't take 'other people' word as gospel, do you own research, thats what I did.
Other point, you are missing is I do not want spend more money just to play a game on my computer, which leaves it open to security issues. You gave a prime example of a security flaw.
Lastly I have boot camp, it comes with OSX 10.5 upwards as standard, btw my computer is now going 5 yrs old and it still faster than $1000 PC spec out there today, I checked :P
And I dont know much about macs, but as the person below said he can play PC games with Boot Camp. Can you not play pc games on your mac with boot camp? (Curious, as i stated... i dont know much about macs. ;) )
Btw what are your specs?
I just bought a new graphics card for 140 bucks and its badass. Should be arriving tommorow. :)
ATM i have a 3.1 single processor and an EVGA GeForce GTS 250 graphics card. (ask if you want more info, ram etc.) And this was for $450. (Comp price + graphics card price) and I am able to play newer games on max setting, Crysis i can play on High setting with minimal FPS delay.
Oh - and the keylogger happened when i downloaded the South Park episode of wow 1 day after it aired on tv. I got it from limewire. :(
Bootcamp is a software to partition your mac drive, so you can load windows operating system and the drivers required to ran the mac hardware. You still require Windows.
Quad 2.5Ghz processors (4), GeForce 6600 256Mb, 8Gb RAM and 2x (500GB) 10,000rpm drives with 23" Apple HD display (display was additional US1,000 at time). Plus all the other essential like DVD burner, wirefire ports (4) USB (6), 1000/100/10 Ethernet ports (2).
Anyways, nice talking to you. Gonna go wait outside for the UPS guy... lol :D
