The blog update specifically focuses on what players can expect to encounter in the Northern Wilds region of Nexus. Players get a look at the Skeech (pictured above), Girrok and Rootbrutes in the update. Rootbrutes live up to their description as 'tall mushrooms' being covered in shroom-like fungi and spending most of their time partially rooted in the ground. When Rootbrutes decide to uproot themselves, though, expect surprising agility and watch out for their tentacles which bury themselves in the ground and come up from beneath to attack you.
Girrok (pictured below) are four-legged mountain-dwelling monsters, known for their resiliance and ravenous appetites. If you come up against a Girrok, don't underestimate their intelligence and agility. These beasts have been known to rip boulders up from the ground and hurl them at all comers, so keep your wits about you and under no circumstance should you attempt to teach a Girrok to dance.
Lastly, the blog update talks about the primitive and cannibalistic Skeech. These two-legged demons make their homes in cave systems but will venture out to hunt the surrounding areas. Shamanic and simplistic in nature, the Skeech vary in threat level from Skeech Shamans who can wield magic with the best of them down to the Scratchers who use their long claws in a primitive sort of attack that can end up just as lethal as the Shaman's elemental attacks.
