For those of you who are enjoying the new rated battlegrounds feature added with Cataclysm, there's some good news for you today. Bashiok took to the forums to announce a change they've hotfixed in which will allow you to earn Honor points once you've reached your weekly Conquest point cap. This comes in the same way you'd get it by running a normal battleground.
This is a great change considering how easy it is to reach the Conquest point cap in rated match play. And if you dabble in arenas as well, then you hit the cap even quicker, which in turn meant that until today, doing rated battlegrounds was rather pointless when at the cap. Except for the fun of it, or in the hopes of increasing your rating.
I suppose that is one thing worth mentioning: the higher your rating, the higher the Conquest point cap will be the next week. The caps recalculate based on rating every Tuesday, so it was still meaningful to play through rated battlegrounds the entire week. Now you'll have the bonus of gaining honor for your troubles.
