Great news for those of you working on the flask-related guild achievements Mix Master and Better Leveling Through Chemistry. Blizzard just released a set of hotfixes to reduce the requirements of both of those achievements. "In reality, most guilds have made fewer flasks than we had originally anticipated they would at this point in guild progression," they said, "and many players will soon be unlocking a guild perk (Chug-A-Lug) directly related to cauldrons and flasks."
Mix Master now requires you to craft 1,000 Cataclysm flasks, down from 10,000. Better Leveling Through Chemistry now requires your guild to craft 3,000 Cataclysm flasks, down from 25,000. These changes are obviously huge, and many of you will probably log in to discover your guilds have already completed both achievements thanks to the hotfixes.
While this is something they might normally do in a content patch, they wanted to get the hotfixes live since many guilds will be unlocking the Chug-A-Lug perk this weekend, which has a direct effect on flask duration.
Beyond that, they've also buffed Big Cauldron of Battle a bit so that it "feels like a substantial upgrade" over the regular Cauldron of Battle. The big cauldron will now generate 20 flasks before disappearing, up from 17. Both cauldron durations have also been increased from 5 minutes to 10 minutes.
