WotLK - Flying Mounts and Northrend
Quote from: Bornakk (Source)
The current plan is to allow players to use their flying mounts once a character hits level 77 in Northrend. I understand you feel they don't add to aspects of the game that you are looking for, but we believe they do add to the game and we are building the new content with the ability to use them in mind.
You will be able to use the same mounts that you currently use in Outland. There will be some sort of process to complete to be able to use the mount once a character hits level 77, but the exact details are undecided at this time. If you are referring to needing a large sum of gold to use them, sort of like a new tier of flying skill, that isn't the current plan.

Why are people talking about flying in old-world? Northerend isn't old world... They haven't STATED about old-world, so why all the talk? It's going to be interesting how blizzard shapes the content around the flying mounts, like Skettis, BEM, and Netherstorm in BC.
I wonder if Druids can learn to use their flight forms two level earlier as we did in outland...
most likely some type of "learn how to fly in the cold" quest
yh actually yur pretty right
Anyone playing on a pvp server knows the pains of trying to level your low-level toon and having 70's ride up, smack you, camp you. Of course if you have friends available or a 70 main of your own you can switch over and dish out the appropriate code red. Now, imagine a fleet of noob kids on flying mounts landing on your ass for the fun of it and smacking you, but traveling the zone at top speed, making a circuit to repeatedly kill everyone in that zone. Even if you have a level 70+ your not going to get them once mounted and in the air. More killing lowbees with zero retaliation factor is what you will get...this is why 10 year olds don't write advanced gaming software strategy.
