We have a couple of kill movies from Sunwell Plateau uploaded on Curse for your viewing pleasure. Kalecgos, Brutallus and Felmyst have all been filmed by numerous of guilds. Below you can find one video of each encounter being defeated on the live realms.
There's also some information regarding Isle of Quel'Danas progression. It's interesting to find out that some lower populated realm are working harder than those realms with more people on them.

There's a player asking about why some of the lower populated realms are progressing faster in the Isle of Quel'Danas progression then some of the realms that got higher population. Drysc answers that there's no other factors at work other than the hard work of the realms population.
Each phase, and the subsequent "add ons" for each phase (anvil, alchemy table, etc.) require a set number of turn ins of the specific quests that fund them. There's no mechanic that increases that number. So no, a realm with a higher population is not handicapped.
There is however a mechanic that will auto-complete each phase after a set amount of time for those realms that aren't able to complete them within a "decent" amount of time.
What you may be seeing is a general cool down of people taking part in those quests? I can't really say why your realm may be seeing a slower progression aside from them just not completing as many quests as another realm.
For those of us completely uninformed, does the badge vendor start selling badge stuff once phase 2 has been completed? Or is there one more period of time where dailies need to be done in order to get to the vendor?
Once the Armory is taken over you can begin building the Anvil, once the Anvil is complete the new badge vendor becomes available.
