Top 10 Places in WoW That Don't Make Sense
This is taken (and revamped) from a post on the official World of Warcraft forums. I found it fairly amusing.
- 10.
- The Stockades (Stormwind Castle)
- The prisoners would probably be easier to control if Stormwind installed some doors on their jail cells.
- 9.
- Stromgarde (Arathi Highlands)
- A shining beacon of diversity in a war-torn world; the Syndicate, Ogres, and Alliance have all discovered how to peacefully share this castle.
- 8.
- Ragefire Chasm (Orgrimmar)
- The Horde's most fearless and bloodthirsty warriors come to Orgrimmar to train and prepare for battle -- except against troggs, who must be paying half the rent or something.
- 7.
- The border between Feralas and Thousand Needles
- There's a severe change in rainfall over a 10-yard-wide stretch of ground. (Same for Hellfire Peninsula & Zangarmarsh)
- 6.
- The Blood Furnace (Hellfire Peninsula)
- The Blood Furnace is on top of Magtheridon's Lair, but they're not connected. So once the orcs get the blood of Magtheridon, some poor peon must have to carry it outside Magtheridon's lair, up that huge chasm, around the southern rampart, and halfway through the Blood Furnace. It's like walling off your kitchen and building the entrance on the other side of the street.
- 5.
- Naxxramas (Eastern Plaguelands)
- It's ironic that this floating fortress is completely enclosed. And how does Sapphiron get out?
- 4.
- Auchindoun (Terokkar Forest)
- Another miracle of tolerance; the spirits of the Draenei, the enemies of the Consortium, the Arakkoa, and the Shadow Council all peacefully co-exist in their own little section of Auchindoun. The real-life equivalent would be putting the slums of Detroit, Shanghai, Mexico City, and London together -- peacefully.
- 3.
- The Dire Maul Library (Feralas)
- I love this place -- a legion of ogres on one side, and scores of walking trees, invisible ghosts, and mana elementals on the other. What elf thought to himself, "This would be a GREAT place for a library!"
- 2.
- Outland
- What are we breathing?
- 1.
- The Slave Pens (Zangarmarsh)
- Ok, a bunch of draenei slaves are being worked by their naga slavemasters. Ok, this makes sense. Players have to go in to rescue the poor Draenei from their evil naga overlords. Unfortunately, the story collapses completely in the middle of the dungeon. What would a freshly recruited naga think?
- Naga 1: Hey man, I don't mean to alarm you, but......there's a gigantic ---- lobster behind you.
- Naga 2: **points at Rokmor** Oh, him?
- Naga 1: **sarcastic** No, the other gigantic ---- lobster. Of course it's him!
- Naga 2: It's not really a big deal. He just stays over there and we stay over here.
- Naga 1: So it doesn't bother you that a gigantic ---- lobster is over there?
- Naga 2: Yah, you get used to him; I kinda forgot he was there actually.
- Naga 1: But he can't do anything! He can't talk, he can't work, and he can't help us! That brings up another point...why are there so many guards around here? What are they guarding?
- Naga 2: I dunno. Maybe it has something to do with the gigantic ---- giant upstairs.
- Naga 1: Why the ---- is there a gigantic ---- giant upstairs?
- Naga 2: **shrugs**
- Naga 1: ---- this, I'm transferring to the Steamvaults.
