Don't expect less trash for heroic and raid instances (src)

"Trash" mobs do serve a purpose in dungeons though and while they may not be your favorite part of the dungeon, we try and keep a good balance of it versus the rewards of the particular dungeon.
Shattered Halls may have a fair amount of trash, but I believe it can drop up to five badges of justice which is the most you can get from a heroic dungeon so it makes sense for it to be a challenge to get through.

For raid instances, it was talked about at BlizzCon and in particular the Molten Core version 2.0 that had no trash, the video should still be out there somewhere if you want to check it out.
Of the dungeons you specified, Magtheridon, Onyxia, and Gruul's Lair are specific type of raid dungeons that are designed to be quick shots to the bosses and (hopefully) the loot.
For other raid dungeons, we generally shoot for a good balance of trash mobs to bosses but we do want these big epic dungeons to be challenging too.     So that only the uber hard core raiders can get through instances?
    Please...
    You need to remember that this subscription base has how many millions of players? Not everyone is as good as you (I am assuming you are good based upon your desire for tough dungeons). If KZ was as hard as it once was, I would think that 1/2 of the guilds out there wouldn't be able to progress, and honestly what's the point of that?
    For the uber hard core raiders who kick ass, you have access to raid content that I will NEVER see. That's ok by me as I recognize my skill set and the skill set of my guild. However I appreciate that there are some 10 and 25 mans I can get through w/o having to constantly pull my hair out.

    So please, lets all remember that this is a game for everyone of all skill sets. If you want uber hard core, then go raid the uber hard core dungeons that schmucks like me will never see. :)

    Zul' Aman has trash that has very strange respawns, I.E. The scouts that patrol the path to the dragon hawk boss. I would really like to see this raid nurf'd, the bosses are fine, its just the trash that seems to have bugs and problems that could be fixed in a new patch.

    Only think i have to say is since they started to "nurf" instances things just seem far to easy. eg Scholo and Strat used to be 10man or nice hard 5mans, LBRS and UBRS were 15man, Kara was a lot better when it was actualy hard. Now most of the so called raid instances are just walk in walk out loot runs gets rather boring. I would like to see things back to what they once were.

    Only place i can think of that has limited bosses is Sethekk Halls but the trash is not that much either ... anyway i see no point in just killing bosses and limiting trash since you do have Honor Reputation to get usually and its a good way to pick up some easy gold.

    Shadow Labs... seems to have tons and tons of Trash. It feels like it takes an age to get the second boss.

    well its not that, while keys were revered trash mobs were rep, they also prevent an instance to be farmed over and over again.
    and if YOU were a raid boss, would you want to be all alone at the back or would you want to have other people there? after all.... you are there 24 / 7. literally.
    i do think some instances should get rid of trash mobs because they have just too many, cant think of any but there are instances that are just too long for the amount of bosses.

    Quite frankly trash has NEVER made dungeon challenging, its quite retarded actually.

    A lot trash only means they couldnt come up with truly hard boss, look back to concept of BWL, very little trash but bosses that we're at the time rather intresting concepts after MC.

    And even trash was offering somewhat of a challenge even if it was in low quantities, they really should focus on quality (Aka how hard it is ) over quantity. They should just look back at BWL, given it was laggy as hell due layout, while doing new instances.
