The Feast of Winter Veil is being updated to include new features for the 2007 edition of the seasonal event. We received a press release which details this information, which you can check out here.
One of the many new additions this year is an old favorite with an extra use; players can now use Preserved Holly on their flying mounts, transforming them into a flying reindeer.
New content this year includes a Handful of Snowflakes -- an item that can be obtained by blowing a kiss to a Winter Reveler NPC; using the snowflakes creates a light snowfall above the targeted player. The Burning Crusade has fallen under winter's cold grip as well; several bosses in TBC instances will be dressed up in festive fashion and drop special seasonal hats when defeated.
The list includes (from December 25th to January 2nd):
- Grand Warlock Netherkurse (The Shattered Halls)
- Grandmaster Vorpil (Shadow Labyrinth)
- Exarch Maladaar (Auchenai Crypts)
- Captain Skarloc (Durnholde Keep)
- Nethermancer Sepethrea (The Mechanar)
- High Botanist Freywinn (The Botanica)
Finally, a new gift has been introduced: the Mechanotoy -- allowing the player to summon a Mechanotoy non-combat pet. This gift is obtained from under the Winter Veil tree in either Ironforge or Orgrimmar -- depending on the player's faction.
The rest of Winter Veil remains the same as every year, so break out your holiday spirit and prepare to be showered in gifts! To find out more, head over to the Winter Veil Event page.
