X-Play have released their nominees for the X-Play Best of 2007 Awards.
World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, the expansion to Blizzard Entertainments hit MMORPG, World of Warcraft, has been nominated for Best Multiplayer Game of 2007 and comes up against (oddly) none-MMO titles like Halo 3, Team Fortress 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Halo 3 and Rock Band.

WTF is that?!?!?!? How dare they put that aside my precious AC and Portal?
Halo 3 is only fractioanlly more successful than World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. What you ahve to consider is that World of Warcraft and World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade are two of the top selling games IN HISTORY and then consider that prior to Halo 3, were the fastest selling games in history and THEN consider that Halo 3 does nto have as much longevity as WoW and you can safely say that long after Halo 3 has been forgotten, WoW will still be being played in it's millions :-D
I think it is in a perfect postion to compete.
All video game awards suck. Why? Because they are probably one of the most predictable type of awards ever. You going to put TBC in with Halo 3 in the same catagory? Even if you aren't a fan of Halo 3, or ever played it, TBC didn't get over a million pre-orders, and didn't receive as much press as Halo 3.
