Short but sweet update. We've got some 2.4 info for everyone, plus a very cool changed to Heroic keys! Also be sure to check out the 2.3 PTR updates article posted yesterday. It's been updated again with more info.
Heroic keys now only required Honored reputation in 2.3

The 5 person dungeon is complete and the 25 person raid instance is progressing nicely. There's also a cool "public" area featuring brand new daily quests called Sunwell Isle.
New stuff added to the 2.3 PTR update post today:
- Aggression, Weapon Mastery, Precision, Field Repair Bot, Holiday recipes, Tauren Cat Form and Model images.
- Info on Guild Banks and Karazhan music.

How do they plan on the Alliance getting to Sunwell Isle if it is located north of Silvermoon City?
I think alts is the reason too.
I've got heroic keys for all the places on 2 chars currently, but with 3 more chars at 70, and one more closing to that level I just can't be bothered with the grind for keys on all those chars.
It's currently easier to get my alts into raids than it is for them to get into heroics, surely that is off?
I think the change to honored for keys are trying to ammend this situation.
the heroic thing is making it to easy to get attuned. people with completely nub gear will be able to do heroics and waste our time in LFG. people can get honored before even running ONE instance of that faction via quests, and turn-ins like arrakoa feathers and others

how is a rep grind a challenge?
do the quests, it's not hard to hit revered.I think i've only been to each hellfire 3 times at most each (not full runs either) + did the quests and got my key. This honoured thing is kind of silly. if you can't hit honoured with a faction of a zone by the time ready to quest the next zone then you're doing something wrong.
Thing is 4 5month ago heroic instance was for main who builded rep with 5man grind & co, today heroic is 'only' played by alt and those ppl don't want to farm the rep once again, but i'm guess as they said for attunement, in the future those kind of "unlock" thing will be account wide to eliminate the regrind concept with an alt.
While I know some people may see the Honored faction for Heroic keys as bad, there are some of us who have run the instances in question many times, but have not had the time to run them almost ad infinitum to get to revered.
My lvl 70's have run all of the instances (except for The Eye) and know pretty much how to handle myself in them. Allowing them to finally be able to do Heroic versions without doing endless runs to get to revered will be nice.
The challenge then will be to see how you do in the Heroic versions of the instances.
agreed, all i see since BC was released is blizz making things easier and easier, what happened to good old skill requirements, pretty sure a fresh toon will start with T6 and all reps exalted soon :-(, please bring back some challenge to this game.
Dont know if I like the Heroic requirement. For me, sure its nice, my new main will have an easier time getting into heroics, but it was a nice check on players to know that they hade done the instance a few times.
