There's a veritable cornucopia of goodness coming out of patch 2.3. Eyonix posted this morning about an additional change to the Retribution tree for Paladins. You'll be getting your threat reduction afterall! That isn't the only info we've got for you today, though, so read on to find out more - including some Season 3 Arena screenshots, Season 1 (Arena Gear) Honor point costs, and a cool new music video.

After further discussion and testing we’ve decided to add threat reduction deep in the paladin's retribution tree. Fanaticism will now reduce threat caused by all actions by 6/12/18/24/30%, in addition to its current effect.

Our internet service provider (ISP) will be performing backend maintenance on Friday October 19, 2007 from 10:01 PM PDT to Saturday October 20, 2007 4:00 AM PDT. We do not anticipate any service impact, and will be watching realm stability and performance closely.
Any new content coming to Azeroth?
Bornakk wrote:
We would like to revisit and implement new content for Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms, but we have no estimate on updating all of the zones that people have talked about or if this will happen at all.
We always have to consider development time versus what is the most fun and currently we feel it will be more exciting to create new continents like Outland and Northrend, but we never know exactlywhat the future holds.
Why don't faction leaders drop loot?
Nethaera wrote:
Sorry, but we don't want leaders farmed for loot. Incentive isn't going to be in the form of an in game reward, but in the feeling of accomplishment for pushing through the enemy, staying alive, working together as a team, and taking down a significant leader.
If you're looking for PvP incentives, those are wired into Arenas, Battlegrounds, and sieging will be available in Wrath of the Lich King in the nice large PvP that will be waiting in Northrend.
Lake Wintergrasp is not an instance!
Nethaera wrote:
I thought I'd take a moment to correct you on an assumption you are making that the PvP area in Northrend is being instanced. the Lake Wintergrasp zone will be entirely PvP even on PvE realms, it will not be instanced and it will have sieging. More I couldn't tell you as of yet, but we definitely want to make it a great place to go and get into some cool PvP action.
I'm sure as we get further into development we'll have more to share. There is one thing that I do know as someone that has PvPed for many years, and that is, not every PvPer is alike or wants the same things. There is no "one" voice of PvP no matter how you try to wrap it up. I'm more of the "for the sake of PvP" type, while there are others that are looking for a reward for it. To say there is a misunderstanding about what "true" PvPers want is to overstate that your own opinion entails the entirety of what PvPers want.

Pretty damn cool video. Great job on it.

Video was sort of "out there", good though.
nice info as well.
Take the Orange Box instead, HL2, Ep1, Ep2 and even more awesome games.
This is actually caused by a bug with our conversion. The audio is a lot more in sync with the movements on the original. :(
Ya got my hopes up. I must admit, I was let down. The blood elf's mouth didn't even move to the music. I've seen much better.
Background = Half-Life 2 (BEST GAME EVER! if you haven't played it, /gquit wow and go buy it now)
