In yesterday's PTR patch, there was an unannounced upgrade to weapons from Tempest Keep and Serpentshrine Cavern - no doubt in response to the discontent among raiders over the quality of the weapons compared to Arena Season 2 weapons.
Fear not, though - Blizzard has come through for you! Sub-boss weapons are now 2 item levels lower than Season 2 weapons, and arguably better for PvE than said PvP weapons, while Kael'thas and Lady Vashj weapons have been upgraded to be as good as weapons from the sub-bosses in Black Temple and Hyjal.
Images of the upgraded items are below; 1h weapons saw an increase of 3-4 DPS, while 2h weapons saw an increase of 3-5 DPS, along with statistic increases.

The Feral Staff has following stats:
70,2 dps (69,4 ver 2.1) both have +500 armor (no change) 75 stam (70 ver 2.1) 54 dodge (50 ver. 2.1) 773 AP (731 ver 2.1)

Not quite, the Feral staff got upgraded as well, I just didn't get a chance to see a link to it last night while scouring the PTR.
