Blizzard may be in the trenches at Leipzig showing off the new expansion and StarCraft II, but that doesn't mean the World of Warcraft Community Managers are slacking off. There have been a few posts today that have provided answers to questions players have had about topics ranging from new character models to solo instances.
New hair and new dances are great, but . . .
Bornakk shoots down the idea of new character models coming any time soon.
Bornakk wrote:
We are happy with the character models that are currently in the game and the diversity they offer our players. We have no plans at this time to implement options that would change a characters body shape or size.
Along with this we have no plans to implement plastic surgeons.
Correct me if I'm Wrong.. Solo Instances?
Nethaera discusses the reasons behind there being no plans for solo instances, or Blizzard even considering them.
Nethaera wrote:
Hrm.. I know this has come up before, but I don't recall us saying we were considering solo player instances. We feel that dungeons are great for grouping and develop our outside content to be the more solo friendly aspect of the game.
Yes, we support people being able to solo, but being that this is still an MMORPG, we don't currently intend to create our dungeons for solo players. Even balancing for such a thing would make for less interesting dungeons as well.
What feature of WotLK excites you the most
Nethaera jumps in and comments on some of the expansion's features that she's most excited about.
Nethaera wrote:
Siege weapons, Death Knights, Interacting with Arthas, New lands to explore, New area to explore to and then kill people in it... (new pvp zone that is), great new music and sounds.
I'm sure there is more that I'm going to enjoy as well but those are the highlights.
Nethaera once again explains the reasons behind the nerf to Mage coefficients involving cast-time-reducing talents.
Nethaera wrote:
Mages were just doing too much damage and the ceiling was just too high. The change was intentional in order to keep damage consistent.
I'll send on feedback about how you feel that it should be noted in the tooltip, however.
Also, keep in mind that we are always keeping watch on how changes ultimately affect the classes. We feel that mages are doing the right amount of damage currently.
Nethaera mentions that there will be more weather effects added in the future, but there's no concrete date decided yet.
Nethaera wrote:
Definitely not forgotten. We do plan to add more in over time. When? Couldn't tell you. Just remember it was awhile before we got weather effects into Azeroth. We'll get there in other areas when we can.
I too, enjoy the rain in the zones.

j/k that solo-instance thing would be insane to be honest. Really would like to see something u can solo wich actually requires still. If you compare wow to any game u rly see it's a marathon, hanging in there and keep on going seems to be the way for wow-players. I would rather see some PvE stuff that requires some skill.
