Black Temple and Hyjal Tuning

Well, it looks like some of the bosses may have been a bit too easy afterall. Daelo posted on the Raids & Dungeons Forum that there are some changes being made to the difficulty of certain bosses in Black Temple and Hyjal.

Daelo wrote:

Based upon further feedback from guilds in Black Temple and Hyjal, we've decided to make some difficulty adjustments to many of the later bosses. As a general rule, the changes increase the damage dealt by the encounter to the raid. Note that due to the timing and nature of the changes made, some of the tooltips for the retuned abilities will be incorrect.

The encounters changed include:

Gurtogg Bloodboil

Teron Gorefiend
Mother Shahraz
The Illidari Council
Illidan Stormrage
Archimonde

Our intent is not to make the encounters impossible. Even with the increased difficulty, I do expect some of them to be quickly beaten again after guilds experience the changes and adapt.

As a side note, the 2.1.1 patch did include the change to the Archimonde encounter that increases his leash distance and made the Well of Eternity a bad place for casters to be near.

blizzard at teh best as usual. those bosses right now incredible hard and we barely can kill them no doubt. Why blizzard do such bad thing ,anti-player stuff? Answer is - if alot of guild able to kill all bosses = loosing interest = quitting WoW to warhammer (anyway it's happen blizz lol ) or AoC or something = blizzard loosing money. So,blizzard -"hey,we wish to drain more money from ya! don't quit! Please play our crappy game more!" lol

Yeah, and the reason why its more difficult to farm gold is that 'companies' like wowatm farm it dry with bots, idiot.

Oh, and to Jedi-trem, the Well was destroyed: Following the War of the Ancients, the Well of Eternity was destroyed, and most of Kalimdor with it, leaving only the Maelstrom. However, Illidan had filled seven magical vials with water from the Well of Eternity, and he poured three of the magical water into the lake at the top of Mount Hyjal, creating a new Well.

So if Illidan created this new well, why couldnt it be harmful to the players? Dont complain about inconsistencies when you have no clue about the truth.

You forgot D. Stop making copouts.

When I went to ramparts heroics and didn't get a badge from the last boss, I ticketed a GM about it. The GM told me it was working as intended that the last boss didn't give a badge...

    uhuh? Suuuuure....

Again should Blizzard actually spend the time to internally test this product before they even send it to the PTR problems such as underpowered gear, bugged bosses that die at 10% and then immediatly respawn, bosses that when a dot kills them when they have the raid sheeped bug out. Scripted events that after 2 years still bug out and require a 45 minute "soft reset". These problems should have never even been noticed on the PTR. Using high end guilds like Nihilum, Method, DnT, Curse, etc. for basically nothing more than free beta testers is not only insulting to those guilds, but shows the quality of content testing before release. 2.1 & 2.1.1 are great FIXES for problems that should have been caught in internal testing. Class unbalance is known by Blizzard and they have done nothign to fix it even with theses last 2 patches (in the Stratics chat the devs even admitted to it "But who will save the Hunters" (I personally think hunters are a poor choice for raiding, and better at pvp and solo content, but thats my opinion). So why do people complain.

    A. Broken content should never see the light of the live servers. B. Fixes should be much quicker than months. C. The GM staff needs Help Desk training, because they are not helpful, sometimes very rude, take forever to respond, etc. (there are a few exceptions, but they are very very rare) If there is a problem witha shortage of GM's hire more people, if you have problems hiring people, maybe you should outsource, maybe open help desk facilites in China, India, Malaysia, etc. Blizzard makes around 126 million per month of gross income from WoW alone, maybe its time to spend some of it.

They get my money every month, and yes I enjoy the game, but allowing sloppy work to continue only means in the end, the content we see will only continue to increase in it's declining quality.

They did listen to the player base. Blizzard retuned gear progression, consumables, and encounter difficultly all simultaneously in one patch. You can't make all those changes without needing further retuning later (unless you wanted to wait half a year for it to be perfected on the test server)

This is another example of how Blizzard is being reactive to the problems with content they deploy. Gratz to Kungen and Nihilum on the World First on The Betrayer, boo to Blizard for not listening to feedback and doing the exact polar opposite from Vashj. Maybe if they actually listened to their player base complaing about bugs and encounter problems, that and spend a little more of that roughly 126 Million (US) they rake in every month.

And BTW The WEll of Eternity is the source of all arcane magic on Azeroth you'd think being clsoer to it means more mana for those mages, but let's make it dangerous, after all the High Elves (now Blood) used it as their source of power for how many thousands of years?
