World First Kill: Kael'thas Sunstrider; Nihilum Updated

The EU-Magtheridon guild Nihilum just defeated Kael'thas Sunstrider, the final encounter in Tempest Keep: The Eye. I use the word defeated, primarily because of this image.

So while this certainly counts as a World First, it doesn't look like Kael'thas is truly dead.

You can check out images below, and be sure to head to Nihilum's website to find out more on the World First. Loot listed below; the necklaces are from the Verdant Sphere quest. He also dropped a vial for every person in the raid that needed it.

UPDATE

Forte just killed Kael'thas as well; their loot is listed below.

UPDATE #2

With their freshly tuned characters, Nihilum went into Hyjal and killed the first boss of the instance, Rage Winterchill as a World First.

A bit after, Forte also killed Rage Winterchill(on their first attempt, and with only 23 people).

Denthor, look at their gear and look how long they've been playing. These 25 people are really good at what they're doing, they have organised raids, and it takes quite a lot of focus to down a boss. Not just a bunch of random people with sucky greens and blues.

    About the lore..

It is true that WoW screws up lore. But atleast it advances. Have you seen guild wars going anywhere? Blizzard tries to make it fun, which they do.. plus, some people hate Kael'thas.. :)

Denthor: You don't kill Archimonde. The same event that occured in WC3 takes place.

  • #4

Well they can't really make a game that isn't playable..... Maybe WoW doesn't exactly follow Warcraft lore, but it's still a fun game and I'm not going to let that stop me from playing.

If you could fight Sargeras, I would stop playing WoW immediately. Enough is that you can kill Archimonde (that's totally out of lore), but if you could kill Sargeras, one of the Titans, the most evil being in Warcraft universe, it'll be ridiculous. In fact, Kael'thas should be (imo) a joke boss, and when entire raid is in his room, he should one-shot them with Flamestrike. Why have Blizzard fucked the lore so hard from behind? These incredible strong beings can be killed by 25 (apparently stronger) heroes. The same heroes who can die by getting hit by rotten treants? Wtf..

Wow, Nihilum has updated their site again and have gone on to killing two bosses in the Black Temple..... 4 world firsts in one night.

    @ El_Diabl0 and Blueberreh...

The Master he refers to is Kil'Jaeden, the current leader of the Burning Legion, as he was the 2nd in command of the legion.

Anyway, what happened to D&T these days? No world firsts since... early SSC?

I just heard of another guild killing him; this sounds exactly like when the BWL gate bug was fixed. :(

Could be Sargeras or one of the Natherezim(sp?)? Anywho, grats Nihilum!!

  • #11

The master could be Kael'Thas new ally, a demon lord. Perhaps Archimonde v2? Kind of cool with that emotes all over the world, or was it just Shattrath?

  • #12

hmm.. who is "the master" ?
