In the Dev chat on stratics.com a Questoion was asked:
5:38:19PM <Brannoc> *Tesurly* Are the harsh keying requirements for entry level->end game raid zones going to stay for future expansions, or will some sort of backflagging option be available?
This was the answer:
5:39:05PM <Tigole> First off, players will be happy to know that there are some *limited* backflagging solutions going into the game tomorrow. It's not for all zones but for a select few.
5:39:17PM <Kalgan> omg patch tomorrow
5:39:31PM <Eyonix> omg!
5:39:42PM <Tigole> Regarding the keying process, I think a certain amount of keying is cool... it allows for guilds to separate each other from one another.
5:39:47PM <Kalgan> jeff is so fired...
5:40:10PM <Tigole> Most of the keying issues have become issues more because of tuning.
5:40:21PM <Tigole> The Karazhan key isn't terribly hard to obtain.
5:40:29PM <Tigole> btw
5:40:33PM <Tigole> Patch tomorrow =P
This is official as the lead designers of WoW were answering the questions asked: Tom Chilton [Kalgan] and Jeffrey Kaplan [Tigole]

Who cares about all that...I mean, who cares about Hyjal and Black Temple anyway... I'm getting my spellfire robe....robe!!! Best patch ever.
Just kiddin' ofcourse, the backflagging sounds good tbh though.
Backflagging is not quite as useful as it sounds. It means after you kill a boss, you can key one more person for that instance. For example, killing Lady Vashj drops a scroll that is BoP that allows the person that loots it to attune one person for Serpentshrine Cavern. Expect to see most high end guilds selling these for a lot of gold.
nothing on US servers so far....
Yay! What does backflagging even mean?
nyiddle:
Essentially, certain NPC's will now drop items that allow you to turn them in as a quest, to skip required flagging quests.
An example, I assume, would be the ability to loot an item from Magtheridon, which then lets you skip the process of doing Heroic dungeons to obtain the Tempest Keep: The Eye attunement.
Hmm, interesting. I wonder if that's part of the intended design, so that guilds finally have a source of income from raiding, aside from gold from bosses.

Nice! :)
