Stratics Chat Delayed- 05/15/07 Go to thread

In this thread, Nethaera announces that the Stratics House of Commons chat, scheduled for May 15th, has been delayed.

The Stratics live chat has been delayed due to technical issues. We offer our apologies to WoW Stratics and the World of Warcraft community for this delay.

We will be announcing a new date soon and will be extending the time an extra half-hour to take more of your questions.

Upcoming Spam-Prevention Features Go to thread

In this thread, Drysc announces some new features coming with patch 2.1.0.

ETA on Guild Bank & Guild Housing Go to thread

In this thread, Nethaera comments on the possibility of Guild Banks and/or Guild Housing being added.

These were not promised at any particular time . I don't believe we even used the word "promise" in any statements about these. We have said in the past , however, that these are things we would like to see added to the game. I can't give you an ETA since we don't have one as of yet.

We'd like them added in, sure, but beyond that we couldn't tell you more. When we get close to a point where we actually are implementing these things, we'll do what we can to give you all a heads-up.

Downloading 243 MB? Go to thread

In this thread, Drysc comments on what the Blizzard Background Downloader is downloading for the upcoming patch 2.1.0.

The background downloader will grab bits of upcoming patches before they're officially released so that on patch day you only have to download a remaining megabyte or so, patch, and then you're able to log in pretty quickly. It's been a normal part of the patch downloading process for quite a few patches now, and it should have gone active yesterday I believe to start downloading part of the 2.1 patch. Actually the bulk of it more than likely as I don't believe it's too much larger than 250MB.

Priest Racials... concerned Go to thread

In this thread, Nethaera comments on a possible review of Priest racial abilities.

I know this is a topic that comes up relatively often and the most I can tell you is that Priest racials are something we want to look at again in the future. Unfortunately, I can't give you anything more specific than that as far as timelines go or specifics of what may happen.

I think the CM's are burning out Go to thread

In this thread, Nethaera comments on possible CM burnout.

I just thought I'd take the time to briefly answer you.

For one, yes, burn out can happen. You need to be "on" for the most part when posting and taking part in the community. When burn out starts to set in, it's a cue that we need to back off a bit and recharge. Burn out does not happen for the reasons you may think though. We are all passionate about what we do, care about the community, and genuinely enjoy what we do.

It's the one "atta boy" or "atta girl" that counters any negativity that you may see so we greatly appreciate those to keep us supercharged. (Not to mention caffeine.)

Any position in which you must be in the public eye or dealing with many people can be a drain on your energy, but we wouldn't be here if we weren't the type to also thrive on it.

I and the rest of the team appreciate your kind thoughts and I would ask you to please extend them to the Developers and the rest of the Blizzard folks. They all work hard and deserve the kudos. We are merely their support and do what we can to support them.

That said, as much as I appreciate the words of encouragement, the best way to give feedback on our performance is to use the cmfeedback email in the top sticky. Both encouragements and feedback should go through there. I'm going to close this thread for now so that focus can remain on the discussion of WoW. Thanks!

New season: Arena set Go to thread

In this thread, Ommra comments on the start of the second Arena Season.

Correct, we haven't stated that the second season will begin two weeks after the patch, only that we will give about two weeks notice.

Oh, and "Omrar" is the funniest misspelling of my name so far ^^
