With yesterday's patch, Caverns of Time: Hyjal Past was open for testing. The McWeaksauce brothers - Jimmy to be exact - are on the case, looking to flag any hearty adventurer willing to take the risk and return to the days of Archimonde's reign of chaos.
Upon zoning into Hyjal Past, you enter an area called "Hyjal Summit" - a place inside the instance that has two vendors: one that sells epic gem recipes, and the tier 6 armor set vendor! So does this mean tier 6 comes from Hyjal, rather than the expected location of the Black Temple? Only time will tell - right now it's anyone's guess.
You'll also notice three portals within Hyjal Summit - one is wide open - this is where you'll go to start the initial event. There are two others that have locked gates, one that presumably teleports you to a Horde base, and another that teleports you to the Night Elf base near the World Tree - just like in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos.
So with that said, it looks like Hyjal Past is going to have at least three event areas, which will no doubt ultimately lead to either a battle with Archimonde, or watching the WC3 event unfold.
And what kind of update is without images? We have images of every design recipe available on the vendor so you can see the reputation requirements, as well as screenshots of the opening event in Hyjal Past.

Doh, this is a recent bug, hopefully it'll be fixed soon. There should be scrolling capabilities - and yes, the image is *very* large.
Sounds amazing, nice gems as well... Wondering if there are any different designs/recipies for other professions...
Screens are 'big' by the way, can't see them all even when I run fullscreen (1920x1200)
