We're proud to announce our recent acquisition of MMO-Champion from Major League Gaming, and a new member, current head honcho of MMO-Champion, Boubouille to our close-knit team!
MMO-Champion is a natural fit for Curse which already possesses the largest
repository of add-ons available for MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) games
such as World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online and Runes of Magic as well as
extremely popular forums for Runescape, Aion and Final Fantasy XIV. MMO-Champion
attracts 7 million unique visitors and more than 80 million page views per month
making Curse the #1 MMO destination online.
“The acquisition of MMO-Champion markedly sets Curse apart from the
competition,” said Hubert Thieblot, CEO and Founder. “Not only does the
addition solidify Curse as the largest MMO destination on the web, but it plays
a central role in delivering a complete Curse MMO solution. Curse is now the
ultimate resource for MMO news, forums, databases, and add-ons.”
Gamers and advertisers alike will benefit greatly from MMO-Champion’s purchase
by Curse. In the next few months, visitors can expect an updated page design and
improved user experience. To insure the site’s strong content offering will
not be compromised, Fabien Bonte, the site’s founder and administrator, will
be joining the Curse staff as a full-time employee. Advertisers can take
advantage of Curse’s extended reach into the core MMO market, making MMO
gamers easier to connect with than ever.

yeah I know MLG operated the site and it was a business transaction, however this is not a robin hood scenario.
as for data mining, its how we get the clues of whats coming and start to try to put them together, if you dont like data mining, then why visit a wow info site? if stuff is already released simply visit the offical wow site or read patch notes : )
hes hardly a thief, hes a reporter : ) and a damn good one
just hope Boubouille keeps the MMO site running has it has been =) (+ give the guy a raise xP) i'm glad that Curse is in lot's of MMO's, i think it's a plus. keep up the good work.
"If this puts an end to all the data-mining then great!"
I wouldn't like it if they would stop data-mining...
I just like to see new things before they happen ingame, and I think I would stop reading MMO-Champ, if they drop all the "forbidden" stuff (data-mining, leaks, etc...)
There's a reason why Blizzard doesn't release the info that ends up getting data-mined before it's released, it's just not ready yet. Why show off something that isn't ready for our feedback and that could possibly be completely different or not even happen?
Why not ?
It doesn't hurt anyone to leak infos about a game.
Furthermore, those are not exactly leaks, since all the data usually comes from the client, which is public anyway.
Both sites are doing what they do best, so combining their resources can only be a good thing.
Each game hosted on curse has their own dedicated sections. Perhaps you should take a closer look at that large orange menu at the top, for example. The 4th button which is clearly marked "WoW Addons" takes you to the WoW addons section. Above the orange bar you'll even find "Select a portal" with a dropdown to choose a game. If this is not enough to appease you, I'm afraid no one can help you then.
If you consider the news banner at the top of the main page as "spam", then I'm afraid you need to disconnect your internet as all gaming/news sites have banners with the latest news.
" this is not going to happen"
It already has, as indicated by the news.
