Release has been pushed back a bit by the development team to November 12th and 13th, seeking to offer gamers a more immersive multiplayer experience at launch than was allowed by the current deadline.
“We are committed to releasing a great title and are doing everything to ensure that World of Warplanes gets the final polish we believe the game needs,” said Vlad Belozerov, World of Warplanes' Director of Global Operations. “The extra time will allow the development team to fine-tune the game balance and make sure that every feature is top-notch before launch.”
As an added note: When the game officially goes live, experience points earned during Open Beta will not be reset, and to reward beta testers for their feedback and participation, their total sum of experience points will be evenly distributed between the pilots of low-level warplanes from the five national lines, featured in the game at release.
In World of Warplanes, players participate in a massively multiplayer flight combat action game set in the Golden Age of military aviation. The armored warfare theme previously seen in World of Tanks continues, but is escalated to a new level with full-scale in-game virtual pilot careers spanning from 1930's biplanes to Korean War jet fighters.
