About ChestShop (iConomyChestShop)

ChestShop

A simple, yet very powerful system for making physical shops using signs and chests.

It's never been that easy to create shops! With features like shop protection and anti-lag protection, you won't have to worry about your server's economy anymore!

"Just works"! Don't worry about your economy plugin, ChestShop supports all of them - iConomy, BOSEconomy and more (you can install Vault to use other economy plugins).

Additional modules - install them like plugins:

Using shops

It's easy! Just right-click the sign to buy, left-click to sell.
(You can configure the buttons in the config file!)

How to create a shop

Player shop

  • Place a chest on the ground
  • Place a sign 1 block away from the chest (for example, above the chest)
  • On the sign, write:
    • Sign
    • First line will be filled by the plugin automatically.
    • Price line is a combination of buy and sell prices. You've got to have a price indicator (like 'B' - price that will apply to items BOUGHT by PLAYERS - or 'S' - the SELL price) near the price - the prices are separated by a colon (:)
    • Some of the possible price combinations: "B 5:5 S", "B 5", "S free"
    • You can find out the name of the item you're holding by doing /iteminfo
  • For example:
    • Example sign
    • A person can buy 64 diamonds for 10 dollars and sell them back for 5 dollars from AcrobotPL

Admin Shop - shop with unlimited items
Firstly, you've got to be sure that you've the ChestShop.admin permission / you are an OP.
To make an Admin Shop, simply put "Admin Shop" (configurable in config.yml) on the first line of the sign.

Permission nodes

Basic nodes:

  • ChestShop.shop.* - shop creation and buying/selling
    it contains:

ChestShop.shop.create.* - create all types of shops
ChestShop.shop.buy - buy any item from shop
ChestShop.shop.sell - sell any item to shop

  • ChestShop.mod - open any shop chest, destroy stores
  • ChestShop.admin - open any shop chest, destroy stores, create admin shops

"%amount" is now removed from messages regarding buying/selling - YOU_BOUGHT/SOLD_FROM_SHOP, SOMEBODY_BOUGHT/SOLD_TO_YOUR_SHOP

  • [Change] Instead of "shift buys/sells all", shift sells only one stack at time
  • [Fix] Fix the NPE error on server load, which prevented the database from working

  • [Fix] Items are compared by using Bukkit's built-in function, hence no "dupe bugs" whatsoever

    Im sorry, Im not exactly sure how to get this mod to work on my server. I put it in the plugins folder but when I went into the world and asked for a list of the plugins, it wasnt on the list, nor was my essential commands mod.

    Are you sure you are running Bukkit? You need a Bukkit server to be able to use plugins.

    I suspect that youd ont normally talk to strangers and if your uncomfortable with it you can block me after we're done talking, but I really do genuinley need help with the setup part... I hate not being independant but I have resigned to the looming fact that I do need it sometimes... My skype is David Kaback and I'm from CT if that helps in the finding of me.

    Yes, and after som time working witht he plugins etc. I got them all to work. Now the only problem is I dont know how to work witht them... Theyre in the plugins list and some of the commands are there too but I dont know how to set up permissions so that anyone can make the signs and use them to buy and sell items thorugh the usage of chests and signs. So how exactly do I set up the entire thing?

    I need help with me server. Invite me skype: bratka146

    The problem is that then i start server with online-mode-true it says bad login, if i do false, to me it works, but other people say that they see Can't Reach Server. Need help please.

    That's not a ChestShop error. Also, don't run cracked servers.

    You mean for compiling or running on the server?

     If you want to use it on the server, you only need an economy plugin. If it's a plugin other than iConomy or BOSEconomy, you also need Vault. That's it. You can also use WorldGuard, LWC, Lockette, SimpleChestLock,  Heroes, Towny and OddItem with it.

     For compiling, you need:

    • iConomy (5 and 6)
    • BOSEconomy
    • Essentials 
    • Towny
    • Heroes
    • OddItem
    • LWC
    • Lockette
    • SimpleChestLock
    • Bukkit and CraftBukkit
