Welcome to the second Minecraft Spotlight of this week! In this issue we will be taking a look at "Healing Bandages", a plugin created by ThunderWaffeMC.
Healing Bandages gives players the ability to heal each other using existing items.

Once this plugin is installed on your server, players will be able to make use of a new way of healing. Not only does this allow them to heal themselves, but it also lets them heal other players. The healing process requires certain items that were already present in the game.
This process is pretty straight forward; all it requires is a pair of shears and a stockpile of bandages and blood bags. Because the last two items are not included in Minecraft, the creator of the plugin has chosen paper and rose red dye to represent them.

All you have to do heal yourself is left click while holding the shears; if everything goes well a notification pops up saying you just healed yourself. To heal one of your friends you will have to right click instead, using the shears as well. The healing procedure surrounds the character in small fiery sparks, a nice finishing touch that gives it a magic feel.
Each time you perform the healing action one bandage and one blood bag will be removed from your inventory. Also, be sure to keep in mind that this will not regenerate all of your hearts, it will only recover two and a half of them.
InstallationInstalling the plugin on your server is fairly easy. If this is your first time, simply follow these steps and your players will be enjoying this plugin in no time!
- Download the latest version of Healing Bandages from here or here.
- Place the "Healing_Bandages.jar" file in the "plugins" folder, located in your server's main directory.
- Start or reload your server.
- Enjoy your newly installed plugin!
Healing Bandages is a great choice for any pvp or role-playing oriented server! It gives players an alternative to healing potions, allowing them to heal both themselves and others. Not only is it easy to use, but it is also simple to install without the need to configure anything.
Many thanks to ThunderWaffeMC for creating this plugin!
Thanks to MadPixel for the Minecrafter font.
