The following as been posted by Darkfall developper Tasos Flambouras on the game's official forums:
This is not an update as much as it is checking in with the community. Just to inform you about the sparse updates: they're due to an urgent health problem that landed me in the hospital for a week and I'm still trying to catch up with work.
Our...

As previously mentioned, there's a new Darkfall video available. It can now be viewed here at Curse. See below!

Just posted on the official site. Something alot of people will love to see. Maybe it's no beta date, but the next most awaited thing after a beta date. The game looks pretty decent judging from the screenshots here (same locations are shown in the video). Enjoy!

Associate Producer Tasos Flambouras does a bit different approach to the dev journals, in the style of a Q&A. He picked various questions from the community as he promised last time. You may also notice that the journal came one week earlier, compensating for the delay last time.
The aspects covered in this journal were quite interesting. Mainly,...

This journal was scheduled for last Friday, but it was delayed. Tasos Flambouras informs us how he almost delayed it this time too, so he only posted a short status update this time and promises a community driven Q&A (like the last few journals) next time. Basically answering questions that were brought up on the official forums General Darkfall...

Tasos writes the final Darkfall developer journal this year. It seems he changed his style of writing these journals and now answers various questions he has seen on the Darkfall official forums, combined with a few new screenshots. The new screenshots also include first time female pictures: the alfar female and the ork female. There's also a...

A delay from both Warcry and me. It seems Warcry was having problems with uploading the latest developer journal, so they only managed to do it this Monday.
Nothing new this time, Tasos tells us about Aventurine being slow in testing the game, while the other development areas are progressing ahead of schedule. He elaborates on universal banking...

Tasos continues on with the biweekly developer journal, and this time he writes a very good article. He has seen certain things discussed on the official forums, so he decided to write about it - mainly the economy, and where the Darkfall servers are going to be located. He discusses other things as well, such as destruction of structures,...

Another biweekly developer journal from Tasos Flambouras on Warcry, nothing especially interesting this time. In this journal, he is discussing how Aventurine is still deciding on whether to self-publish or accepting some of the available publishing options. He also mentions how Asian publishers have offered them the 'free' game plan, making the...

Almost a month has passed since we last read a developer journal on Warcry from Tasos.
This time, Tasos explains about the less cool parts of game development and a QA 'grind' the development team is in at the moment. They seem to be pretty busy with polishing things.

This was faster than anyone hoped, and probably shut up alot of whiners on the darkfall forums that complained about the journal delay. Tasos said in his post that there will be some update in the following couple of days, and it was exactly what I expected - part 2 of Asp's review.
Other than the game, Asp writes a little about his background in...

Finally, after a long week for the darkfall community, the LoD guys have released a writeup from Asp which wasn't originally intended for the general public, just the clan. But since they haven't been hearing from him for over a week, they decided to polish up the short review Asp wrote for them.
They also said that they are hoping for Asp to...

Tasos shows up for another developer journal at warcry, this time with no progress update, but with interesting news. A guy called Asp, from the Lords of Death guild, was on a trip and dropped by Aventurine's offices. Not particularly active on the official darkfall boards, some people remember him from Shadowbane's boards years ago and trust him...

A new developer journal, which follows it's biweekly schedule. It is another progress update, the type of update which we've been getting the last few months. They are pretty good, they talk about all sorts of stuff the devs are working on. But how long are we going to be reading them ?
Another important thing considering Darkfall: Brannoc...

WIth a 1 day delay, a new developer journal over at Warcry. Tasos posts a 'patch-log' sort of update, which he has been doing in the last few months... I guess people like status updates the most.
So it basically says that they are busy testing and adding new content, but that most features are in. They are also trying to come up with some...

I am a bit late on this one, but here it is nonetheless. It's another progress update, saying how they can't deliver good updates because of tough development and testing. Tasos said how they will also put up solo beta sign-ups before they start a public beta, soon(tm). And yes, there won't be another Warcry journal until the end of August.
I...

Another Surly article on Warcry, this time he discusses all of the important happenings in Darkfall's long development. You can also find out stuff like where did Razorwax, and later Aventurine, get the funding for their game from.
Most of the info regarding funding and copyrights in the article was dug up by various Darkfall fans over the years....
-
Finally, after a month and a half of no info, Tasos reports in and explains why there wasn't a journal this long. Its the usually stuff they say... traveling, meeting deadly development milestones, adding content, testing. You can call it bullshit, or not.
There wasn't any new info, but Henning (Darkfall art director) made the following vcideo...

Very interesting article that talks about the majority MMO players views on sandbox MMOs and open PvP and full loot, and the differences between games like WoW and EQ, and games like Ultima Online, Shadowbane, Asheron's Call and EVE Online. Read the first and second part here on Darkfall Warcry:
Part 1
Part 2
If you have anything to say about this...
