The third Final Fantasy XI Fan Festival has been announced and it will take place in Hollywood, California. December 5th is when the registration begins and the next day, December 6th is the event day.

During the most recent SOE Fan Faire held in Las Vegas, Vanguard players were treated to a two-part ten minute video detailing what the development team has accomplished over the last year. The latter portion of the video showcased what is currently being worked on, including the newly "re-vamped" dungeon, Pantheon of the Ancients.

Blizzard has posted several new Fan Art images, including three funny comics.
Notable is how the three fan arts all are of a female night elf. It’s amazing how good some of the artists are; I've seen fan art that is equal to the quality of Blizzard's art themselves.
