Having Issues after a patch?

This mod is replacing your character's sheet, which means that it won't have new features when Funcom improves it (like extra clothing/equipment slots, ...). You just need to remove the mod (or wait for an update) to solve the issue.

Fixed Gear Manager

The aim of that addon is just to provide a bug-free gear manager, to replace the original one.

The gear manager window has a checkbox to choose between the game's build loader and mine. Keep it unchecked if you don't have any issues with the default one. Mine is a bit slower (there is a delay between each item swap), but might be more reliable if the default one fails.

Known Issues
- The feedback might say "Loaded undefined successfully" instead of the build name on some attempts, but it will still load the intended build correctly.

Installation Instructions
- Extract the Flash\CharacterSheet.swf file into your The Secret World\Data\Gui\Customized\Flash folder
- Extract the Flash\FixedGearLoading folder (that just contains a CharPrefs.xml file) into your The Secret World\Data\Gui\Customized\Flash folder
- Restart the client (it just won't save your preferred loader if you /reloadui after extracting the files)
- To uninstall, delete those file and /reloadui

  • Removed checkbox option since it didn't serve any purpose
  • Character Sheet won't steal keyboard focus anymore

  • Updated with the character sheet from TSW's 1.7 patch
  • This version didn't receive more than basic testing, so might not be fully working

    hello. Sinice the in-game Gear Manager has been fixed, I tried to remove the Character Sheet file to have the original Gear Manager working and saving my Augments.

    Unfortunately, even when deleting that file, the fix remains in the game in my Gear Manager panel and it causes bugs since I can't save my augments.

    I checked all files in the game folder to see if any file from the mod remained but nothing left.

    I tried to repair the game unsuccessfully.

    Pls help me!

    I found a silly bug.

    If you try to change decks while dead, gearmanager gets stuck in an infinite loop.

    /reloadui will stop it but, perhaps there should be some check to prevent it.

    Feature Request!

    I am not sure if you are willing, but could you make an addtion to the gear manager that would allow export of Vipers codes out of Gear Manager? (Or your own, but why build another standard?)

    I use the Gear Manager heavily since I started using your fix. Much more than Vipers. When I am on my alt, I get game links for builds I'd like to check out on my other toons. Since I am not panoptic core, I have to then recreate the builds elsewhere or write them down, otherwise quite a few skills won't show if I export straight to Viper by loading the build. 

    Also on my main I have a huge number of builds in gear manager, it would be nice to just export them somewhere so I can do cleanup. 

    I would ask Viper to do this but I think he would have to make a conflicting CharacterSheet.SWF to do so.

    I do not have the option to pick between the game's manager and yours.  I assume (because the name of the manager now offers your version number) that I'm running yours, but I do not see any checkbox.

    Thank you for the update. I can now see the new "Head Accessary" item slot and clothing does not appear on my character when opening the Character Sheet. I appreciate the fixes, this is still my gear manager, alternative to the broken TSW loader, of choice.

    PS: There is no item deleting or disassembling bug. I truely believe people are just making mistakes and blaming this add on. I deleted the "FixedGearManager" folder as the new download/updated zip file only contains a SWF file for the Flash folder, which can be overwritten with the updated file. Everything seems to work fine.

    there is a bug with the checkbox "use eth 'loader' does not remain active when the window of the character sheet is closed

    but a big thank you for this update!
    you should contact the developers as funcom for a job!

    It's one of that "must have" mods for TSW. Thank you so much for this! I even register account to say it.

    But, as smileydee38 said, we would like to know if there are chances to update this mod to support new UI? Thanks again!

    There was an additional slot added to the clothing section of the UI which cannot be seen while this addon is installed.

    Is there any chance of getting an update? The in game gear manager still is not fixed and I love your addon.

    FYI.. I logged in today and my blood magic focus was gone... I created an ingame petition and the GM blammed it on this addon.. not sure if I believe him .. he then tells me that they are not aware of any issues with the games default gear manager .. LOL .. so i unload this add on and restart the game,, well thier gear manager still wont change my weapons and gear etc.. so im turning this add on back on.. I like TSW .. its insane that they cant fix thier shiz

    anyone else have this issue

    Addons can't delete items even if they wanted to (at least according to the comments in FC's code, never tried)

    But I had similar issues a few times since I started playing (obviously always with some addons around) when it seemed that an item had disappeared from my inventory. But after a full relog, it was appearing again each time  (seemed the client was desynched and had a wrong copy of my inventory)

    Also, the only ingame command used by the mod (that's affecting items) is the AddItem function, that's also used by every UI element to move your items around whenever you drag&drop them.

    And did your blood focus appear again after the relog or is it still missing?

    The items aren't being deleted, they are being dissassembled.  This is according to a GM.  He said he could look into my character's log, see the missing item, note exactly at what time it was dissassembled and what caused it to dissassemble.

    Much respect, Eth, but please look into this.

    I had the exact same issue, and the GM said the same thing.

    He said the addon is hitting a bug that is allowing it to interface with the crafting system accidentally.

    Strange thing is, it happened also to me. Twice in a row. The items never came back. I would like to find out what to do to reproduce the failure. But after 2 times it's getting too expensive ;) Only thing i can say for sure is, that lost items were both times head talismans and 2 minor talismans from one specific gear management slot (the others worked fine, at least no items disappear).

    As of now I wouldn't recommend using this addon unless you are very rich :)
