About 1.2 TSW patch
Old versions of the addon (below 1.2) won't show your auxiliary weapon slot and might not load your auxiliary weapon-related items/skills into your ability bar
Fixed Gear Manager
The aim of that addon is just to provide a bug-free gear manager, to replace the original one. Current version is fixing some UI bugs and the loading of elite abilities. I'm waiting on more testing/feedback from 1.2 to see if there is still the need to use my own (slower) code to load equipment.
The gear manager window now has a checkbox to choose between the game's build loader and mine. Keep it unchecked if you don't have any issues with the default one. Mine is a bit slower (there is a delay between each item swap), but might be more reliable if the default one fails.
Known Issues
- The feedback might say "Loaded undefined successfully" instead of the build name on some attempts, but it will still load the intended build correctly.
Installation Instructions
- Extract the Flash\CharacterSheet.swf file into your The Secret World\Data\Gui\Customized\Flash folder
- Extract the Flash\FixedGearLoading folder (that just contains a CharPrefs.xml file) into your The Secret World\Data\Gui\Customized\Flash folder
- Restart the client (it just won't save your preferred loader if you /reloadui after extracting the files)
- To uninstall, delete those file and /reloadui

- The equipping shouldn't fail anymore, but might be a bit slower sometimes

- Added Eth's Build Loader as an option. Select it in the Gear Manager window to use it rather than the default game's one. It's slower (equips one item at a time because of UI limitations), but will be more reliable if the game's gear manager isn't working for you

FYI.. I logged in today and my blood magic focus was gone... I created an ingame petition and the GM blammed it on this addon.. not sure if I believe him .. he then tells me that they are not aware of any issues with the games default gear manager .. LOL .. so i unload this add on and restart the game,, well thier gear manager still wont change my weapons and gear etc.. so im turning this add on back on.. I like TSW .. its insane that they cant fix thier shiz

Addons can't delete items even if they wanted to (at least according to the comments in FC's code, never tried)
But I had similar issues a few times since I started playing (obviously always with some addons around) when it seemed that an item had disappeared from my inventory. But after a full relog, it was appearing again each time (seemed the client was desynched and had a wrong copy of my inventory)
Also, the only ingame command used by the mod (that's affecting items) is the AddItem function, that's also used by every UI element to move your items around whenever you drag&drop them.
And did your blood focus appear again after the relog or is it still missing?
The items aren't being deleted, they are being dissassembled. This is according to a GM. He said he could look into my character's log, see the missing item, note exactly at what time it was dissassembled and what caused it to dissassemble.
Much respect, Eth, but please look into this.
I had the exact same issue, and the GM said the same thing.
He said the addon is hitting a bug that is allowing it to interface with the crafting system accidentally.
Strange thing is, it happened also to me. Twice in a row. The items never came back. I would like to find out what to do to reproduce the failure. But after 2 times it's getting too expensive ;) Only thing i can say for sure is, that lost items were both times head talismans and 2 minor talismans from one specific gear management slot (the others worked fine, at least no items disappear).
As of now I wouldn't recommend using this addon unless you are very rich :)
Thank you so much for this mod, it's a blessing. Love all your mods though. They exponentially enhance my gaming experience in TSW :)
Occassionally I'll get a message that "I can't do that yet" and one of my weapons won't switch. I've often gone into combat as a tank with an AR still equipped or as a DPS with my blade still equipped. Mabye increase the delay between item switches by a couple hundred milliseconds?
I get the same thing. I just load the profile a second time each time I switch to ensure it actually switched everything. Odd thing is when it does that the mod still says loaded successfully.
I have the old version though, dling the new one now.
TSW has some forced delay between actions, but it's not a static one, meaning that everything will go through at first but if you do enough of the same action, eventually the fixed delay won't be enough, unless it's huge to start with.
And I've been running into some similar issues, what I really need to do if foolproof the code to keep checking if a talisman/weapon has been equipped (and try to equip it again) before trying to equip the next one.
I'll give it a shot tomorrow and see if I can get that fixed in a simple way.
Edit: I think I have a working fix, just need to test it a bit longer to be sure.
There is one big issue with gear manager after 1.2 - no matter what I do (changing names, updating, deleting and saving again under never used name etc. etc.) the gear manager is not equiping any of those 10.1 and 10.2 items dropped in NMs (unless they have changed name by slotting signet, which is weird). This issue is both noticable in th Funcoms GM and your newest fix. It was working for few hours but after i closed the game and opened it next day it's not working again (not sure if it's linked to the server maintaince, but yesterday after i restarted game it was the same, so don't think so).
Fun fact: the oldest version of your addon works perfectly, although it's not showing auxilary slot. But hey - better to equip one skill or weapon manually then 7 talismans and 2 weapons for my secondary set ;)
The 1.2 version of the addon is using the game's default gear loading, since it was working better for me than my own code.
But I'm fixing my code to be more reliable and adding a toggle in the gear manager, so you can use the one that works the best for you. And hoping to have that new version out sometime today.
Funcom should pay you! The 1.21 is working fine so far. Gonna check if it's surviving crashes ;)
Unfortunately funcoms fix for the gear manager is FAIL. I removed this mod to acces the rocket launcher slot. Decided to test funcom's fix and LO and Behold...my gear failed to change out correctly even after reloading the decks. It is sad that EthanolRift can make a MOD to fix something funcom cannot. Kudos guy and I hope you provide an update soon since funcom has failed again.
I do plan on getting an update on that addon in the next few days to include the 1.2 changes, seems that addon will have some uses for some more time.
Also, current version can still be used, as long as you don't need to unequip the rocket launcher (everything will work fine, you just won't be able to unequip it since the gear slot isn't displayed)
It also seems to make the stats windows show as undefined for everything...either that or it is something else I have running. But this is the only mod I use that touches character panel I think. maybe someone else can confirm....and Thank You for doing what the Devs have not yet.
