About Aslain's XVM Mod
Are you tired of default tank contours, that tells you basicaly nothing about it, except for the tank contour itself? Try my custom contour icons, with them you will not only have a brand new colored and tiered vehicle names, but also XVM - which means nice floating dmg numbers, custom health bars and more....
The mod is in developement since WoT's closed beta back in 2010, and is one of the first icon mods ever created. The purpose of it was to replace ugly, and useless contour icons in favor of colored vehicle names. With my icons you can have much better battle awareness, than the others players who uses default set. You can identify enemy vehicle class with a blink of an eye, you will never be supriced like you can be with built-in icons.
The Curse is hosting the main version only, to get the other variants please visit this link -> http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/35125-aslains-icon-contour-mod/

FAQ:
Q1: What are those orange and green squares at a health bar?
A1: These are stock turret indicators. Green marker means stock turret with top gun possible to mount, red marker means stock turret, top gun is impossible to mount.
Q2: I see many numbers and stats on TAB and durring battle loading screen, please explain them.
A2: Example of "1540 1h 44% 10k 700 50%". The player has 1540 average damage on current vehicle, played at least 100 battles (1h = 100) on current vehicle, 44% vehicle win ratio, played 10k battles totaly, has 700 WN6 rating and 50% global win ratio. The numbers are colored dynamicaly, starting from red as worst stat, thru green, and ending on purple as very high stat. Missing stat means either the stat server hasnt processed the player yet, or is overloaded.
Q3: What means those stats with ALT key pressed?
A3: Over a health bar you have a total battles count, player efficiency and global win ratio, to the left of hp bar is vehicle tier number, to the right of hp bar is vehicle win ratio, and under a hp bar is vehicle average damage.
How to install my mod:
- Unzip & copy everything to [WoT's installation directory]\res_mods\[client_version_number]\
- Download and install required fonts from here. Otherwise you may see colorfull squares instead of vehicle names, stats and symbols.
- Launch the game and go to Settings -> Game Tab -> uncheck: Show vehicle tier
How to enable statistics:
1. Game must be installed to disk with NTFS file system.
2. (skip this step unless stats are not working) Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 is required. You can check your installed .NET versions using this utility: http://www.tmgdevelopment.co.uk/versioncheck.htm
3. Install DokanLibrary: http:dokan-dev.net...stall_0.6.0.exe (http:dokan-dev.net...download/#dokan)
4. Download latest version of XVM Stat (https:code.google..../downloads/list) and extract eveything to root of the WoT folder
5. Run xvm-stat.exe (game will be started automatically). If you want statistics and game launcher, start with /launcher argument:
- Create shortcut xvm-stat.exe
- Open Properties
- add one space and /launcher after the "....xvm-exe" in Target field
- Press OK
- if you still having problems try to right click on it's icon and select run as administrator
6. If you use Skype (only if running it in background while playing WoT), in Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Connection -> REMOVE CHECK "Use port 80 and 443 as alternatives for incoming connections".
Credits goes to:
- br2yd4l for the very initial icon version back in closed beta
- Crabtr33, Pottulaari and RyuOgi for actively supporting me with new ideas and such stuff
- The XVM team, Sirmax2 especially for his support and creating such amazing mod
- chesss from ru server for his ammorack explosion icons
v2.8.0:
- XVM updated to 4.0.0
- adaptation to WoT 8.6
- the 8.6 tank names added to the vehicles section
- config was cleaned up and it's structure has been reworked again
- destroyed vehicle marker font and shadow slightly reduced in size
- destroyed vehicle will have it's name floating up along with dmg number
- floating damage will linger 2 seconds longer on the screen

Which screenshot 5? The Curse has 3 screenies of my mod. Please link it.
On one of the Screens your awesome Icon Mod is combined with the XVM mod.
Wich XVM is that and how do I combine it?
This XVM https://code.google.com/p/wot-xvm/ Screen is from XVM Full. My mod is ready to work with the full version, all you need is to install some libraries and executables from XVM full and my mod will show colored ratings and such stuff.
20 fps hit using this mod
is there a way to leave everything default but just use the floating damage done to tanks from this mod? i like the stantard game interface but i like the floating damage indicator thing...
thanks
You could use XVM mod for this, but it will change default over target markers too, so it's hard to get floating dmg numbers only and remain the rest.
I downloaded, installed and it works nicely, thanks for your time doing this.
For those who don't know how to install the Mod, you have to extact the folders in the res_mods folder in the World of tanks installation folder. In my case it was, C:\Games\World_of_Tanks\res_mods.
I just realised that I forgot to enter how to install it :) Thanks!
