About Increased duration of the display chat messages
This mod increases the duration of the display messages and increases number of messages printed.
The mod is incompatible with mods change color service messages (such as this one), so how the same file.
Installation:
copy the "gui" folder to res_mods\0.7.X\ folder
Original XML was decompressed by World Of Tanks Mod Tools v0.5
and changed lines

To limit the amount of chat lines displayed in a battle, use this mod in conjunction with BattleMessenger - Chat Filter & Antispam
I have the chat duration set to 30 (a minute is too long IMO), and have the chat lines with BattleMessenger limited to the default 10 lines. Works together nicely.
This works great still in 8.4. You can even adjust the time yourself by editing the file a bit.

So I guess this mod is dead since the poster before found a bug and nobody has responded.
This mod still works
I love what it does with chat HOWEVER - I had to uninstall it because I can not click on my mini-map when this mod is installed. If that bug is eliminated, I wil put it back into my game.
It doesnt work completely with 7.4. The messages that appear in the bottom right, like the battle results/resupply and repair are collasped and theres no way to expand them.
I'm not even sure why they are included in this mod. And I'm using this mods.

Hmmm, it filling the entire left hand side of my screen with messages if there's enough chatter is a bit too much.
Any chance of a config file to choose how many lines to display. Bonus if we can tweak the time to fade that way too.

just changing the time amount (I used wottools0.5) leads to an error when saving:
Invalid XML dicument. The document does not have a root element.
I am no programmer, so get lost, but it looks like there is a need for some additional code like "AppendChild(xmlroot)"...blah, blah, blah
