About DAR Artillery Sight

MeltyMap'sDAR features:
- auto-configurable DAR system for Strategic mode
- dynamic speed threshold circles for strategic mode, with size dependable of map scale and current zoom

MeltyMap's Protractor Mod features:

To install:
Copy <res_mods> folder from archive, paste it to Ur's <game> folder.
Overwrite existing files.

To configure:
Use text editor with UTF8 coding eg. Notepad, Notepad++, AkelPad
Edit folowing files:
- DAR:
MeltyMapModSetting.xml file in Ur's game\res_mods\0.8.8\gui\scaleform folder.

- ProtractorMod:
MeltyMapProtractorSetting.xml file in Ur's game\res_mods\0.8.7\gui\scaleform folder.

In order to display Effective armor calculation Vehicles have to be programmed in VehicleData section of mod configuration file.
"name" must have same vehicle name as the tank icon name.
Refer to included Vehicle_Names.txt file or comments in bellow of config file.

Works correct only with Python scripts included with this mod.
Do not overwrite those files with same from other mods.

    Ok, another update. It should be working completely now. Apparently some of the files for this new version work with the files I usually relate to permanent server ret so the entire package was necessary.

    I'm asking the author to manage this page.

    I find this annoying when playing TD's (or anything with a limited traverse) as the 'transverse bar' appears, making sniping difficult because of this silly blue bar wobbeling all around.
    Is there a way to stop it from thinking TD's and my ELC are SPG's?

    This is a strange bug that I believe has something to do with remnant files. I've heard deleting appdata fixes it, but I haven't tested that myself yet. I'll do it soon, but I have a few more pressing problems to solve in the mean time.

    I'm also trying to get someone else to manage this so it's maintained faster/better.

    I agree.. Its useful as SPG but as other tank types it's annoying. Very useful mod though

    curse client folder is just used if you install a mod via the curse client you do not need it if you download from site

    edit: It is working now... I think. As long as my M40/43 settings are in that xml I am fine. I deleted everything in the 8.1 gui>flash folder and reinstalled. Green box is gone after that as well.

     

    You need to set your gun model properly in the MeltyMapModSetting file in order to get proper info related to your gun and shell. All calculations are based on that. Check out his thread on the EU forums for the most recent information.

    I looked at that thread and it is a long thread about some other mod.

    I see nothing explaining what I am supposed to do about this mod.

    Currently I am using M40/43.

    Define the gun model you are using. S/M/D stand for NATION

    That line in the xml doesn't help. S=Soviet ...well the author should have said U, matching what the game calls them. I can't think of any nation in the game with an M or D as their first initial.

    I have the green box mentioned by other people from the earlier release so I guess it isn't completely fixed?
