About [0.8.5] iNoccents Contour Icon Mod (without Rank Icons)

On the mod:

  • this mod uses the original WoT tank contours
  • contours for heavy, medium and light tanks have been recoloured for better discriminability
  • all contours have increased saturation and contrast and are less opaque than the originals to vastly improve visibility on any background
  • this version comes without rank icons, for those of you, who want to use the ingame tier display option or just want clean tank contours (for the version with rank icons click >here<)

My goal:

  • My goal are clean and easy to use icons, that let me instantly recognize the tank they belong to, without being bombarded with (in my oppinion useless) additional info like armor values, max. speed, damage, etc...
  • It will also allow the more experienced player to easily assess the strengths and weaknesses of his/her own and the enemy team (i.e. is a team more focused on heavy, medium or light tanks or wether there are many quick french tanks or slow germans, so he/she can form a battleplan accordingly)

And for those, who are interested, a little background on the developement of this mod:

  • Inspired by Adiya's Contour Icon Mod I created the first version of my mod in June '11 for my own use, but since my friends were so pleased with it I decided to put it on the offical forums in July '11, so others could use it as well. I made quite a few changes until I was finaly satisfied and released version 1.0 in December '11. In June '12 I added this second version of my mod on request without the rank icons for players who'd rather use the ingame tier display option or didn't want any tier indicator at all. Since then I have mainly added new tank contours with every new patch and adjusted the colors and saturation slightly. If you have any questions or suggestions concerning my mod, feel free to leave your comment or just PM me. If you want to use my mod for your own work, I'd be happy to supply my templates.

    Are you having problems with the download or the installing?

    To download you simply need to click the orange "Download Now" button in the top right corner and your download should start after a few seconds.

    To install the mod extract the contents of the zip file to your game folder (i.e. C:/Games/World of Tanks) and when asked if you want to integrate into the existing folders click "yes".

    Should you have any further problems feel free to tell me.

    i am trying to download this the right way and can't figure out how to do it right can someone help me out please ?
