About Grandpa's KISS Crosshairs

This is my mod of the KISS Crosshairs.

Similar to JimB0's modified by Pricelu but changes to graphics.
On screen info includes:

  • Loading time
  • rounds in clip
  • % health
  • Meters to target
  • In arty, time to target
  • Traverse indicator for arty and TD

In the sniper mod, you can see the enemy armor ratings

This version is a return to the 0.9.1 and prior versions. I finally found the fix. Now can configure using in game menu.

===== DISCLAIMER =====

  • I make, modify, compile, these mods for my own personal in game use. They change the game interface to look like I want it to look. I place them here for others to download and use if they so desire.
  • They are NOT "one size fits all" and will not please everyone. If you like them use them, if not, delete them.
  • You are free to customize or modify any of them, its your interface make it like you want. But DO NOT ask me to customize them specifically for you, or ask for details on how to customize them. If you are familiar with mods and xml, you can probably figure it out. I will attempt to correct bugfixes in the mods, as soon as practical.

  • Version 1 for Curse client
  • Version 2, added Server Sight mod, if you want to use the Server side sight, just turn them on in Menu->Settings. You will get the prior to 8.0 seetings of arcade crosshairs AND server side crosshairs on screen at same time. Don't like it, turn it off in settings.
  • Version 3, added the Traverse Indicator, think I forgot it in last update..
  • Version 4 Left out important script file, now included
  • Version 5 removed the Server-side mod as it is 0.8.5 incompatible
  • Version085 Removed Server-Side and Traverse Indicator to ready for 0.8.5 compatibility.
  • 088 updated for 0.8.8
  • 810 updated for 8.10
  • 90 updated for 0.9.0, added gun constraints
  • 90v2 corrected off set
  • 90v3 added correct arty sight
  • 91 updated for 0.9.1, compatible with 0.9.0
  • 92 MAJOR UPGRADE for 0.9.2. Can only configure by opening res_mods/x.x.x/gui/scaleform/MS.xml and making changes there..
  • 93 back to the future, return to version 0.9.1 and prior
  • 94 updated to 0.9.4
  • 94v2 old version restored and updated for 0.9.4

    it works great for me! but i did have the same problem with freez, i noticed it was either the shadow remover or the zoom mod!

    OK, make sure you have latest update, that is a sign that you have wrong files. May have to delete and reinstall.  Symptoms are those of the sniper zoom mod, or server-side xhair mod, not the xhairs.  Are you using a zoom mod, if mine, then update that also.

    And I am not an idiot.  Mod works for tons of people, me and most of my clan included. Can't build one for every computer configuration and since its free, doesn't come with any warranty.  You have to take your chances.

    I have a prob with the armor in snipe mode, for example when i snipe a obj268 the crosshair display the is8 armor or unknow armor for other tanks may be due 8.5 ? but otherwise to the rest it's a good mod ;)

    just letting you know in my IS-6 sometimes the reload time changes every now and then it will be 11.96 then most the time it will be somewhere in the 12 sec range and rearly it is 13 sec range and that is when the game first starts not after i get shot one or more times

    Yeap that happens, mod doesn't know how long it will actually take if you have rammer and 100% crew until first reload, so it estimates..

    can you remove enhanced shell tracers from this mod and put them into separate mod?

    they might be illegal free camera mod#top

    Huh? As far as I know this doesn't have any advanced tracer shells. Just the standard in game ones..

    The mod that WG is referring to was one that allowed a longer view time for tracers, kept the trail visible for a long time, was very effective in finding arty, no longer allowed.

    Version 0.8.4 changed tracers and broke some of teh crosshair mods, this one just uses in-game tracers, but is fixed to see them in 0.8.4

    0.8.5 Common Test Report:  This mod, like 95% of teh crosshair mods didn't initially work in 0.8.5.  I had to make some changes and one of those lost teh ability to see the target armor in the sniper view.  But everything else is working. Will post an update in a couple of days after further testing.

    Crosshairs work in 0.8.5, but teh ServerCross is broken.  I have the fix and will upload aas soon as 0.8.5 hits.

    hi mate any chance for you getting rid of them stupid accurate damage indicator, me and my firends think there shit or even make a mode just for them so if people want them they can im getting rid of the sights until they have gone

    Well you and your friends can delete res_mods/0.8.4/gui/flash/DamageIndicator.swf and return to the stock one.. same for teh scope shadow, just delet ScopeShadow.swf in same directory
