About Permanent Serverside Reticle

This modification enables the old server reticle at the same time as your normal one. Make sure you have server reticle turned ON in your settings and they'll both show up.


Move the 'gui' and 'scripts' folders contained into the most recent mods folder you have and press the 'merge' button.

- OR -

1. Manually install '' to "res_mods\version#\gui\maps\ingame\aim"

2. Manually install 'control_modes.pyc' to "res_mods\version#\scripts\client\AvatarInputHandler"

You can alter which crosshair you are using. For more options look at "crosshair_catalog3.jpg"

If you should desire to change the stock server reticle pick the one you want in the catalog, find it in its folder and relabel it to: ""

After that install it to the same place as #1.

Make sure you have server reticle turned ON in your settings

    After this I'm geting stuck on Battle Start screen. Removing the mod makes everything OK

    Just tryed to load it agan and still locked up. I don't know what I'm doing wrong

    Sorry yes still locking up on load screen. I also downloaded the 8.2

    Should be working now. It turned out to be the lack of a file rather than the corruption of one already in there.

    Yeah, it's still locking up this morning. I have found that it seems to have something to do with the scripts folder. I keep the maps and the xml file but delete the scripts folder and it loads in. With the scripts folder, it locks up.

    This is a great mod and thanks for your work on it.

    using the update listed for 8.2 still locks the game up at the battle loading screen.  I've narrowed it down to the control_modes.pyc file.  When I remove that file the game loads just fine...add that file back in and it never loads into the battle.

    -_- Something is screwy here. I'm running these same files and it's working. I'll see what is going on right now.

    This worked for me in 7.5, but not now. What do you mean in #2 ?The .pyc file is already in the InputHandler folder ? What do you do with the InputHandler thats a .xml file ?  When I put the scripts folder into res_mods\8.0 it causes the battle loading screen to lock up.

    After awhile of testing I found this mod causes a big problem in 7.5, you will not be able to reconnect to a battle in progress if your game crashes or you get disconnected.

    When you try reconnect you get stuck on the battle loading screen.

    Advisable to remove this mod until it is fully compatible with vers 7.5

    Needs updated for 7.5 there are a few minor glitches with it, but it dose work.
