About WoW style XVM

This is a full XVM configuration designed to make efficiency colors WoW alike. Player efficiency will be colored with the World of Warcraft's default quality (rarity) ratings, like below:

WoW like XVM overview

Also the player names on vehicle markers (formerly OverTargetMarkers) will be colored accordingly for ease of use in the heat of the battle. Vehicle Markers contain Tier, Tank Icon, Tank Name, Health Bar, Remaining HP and Type Icon. On alternative mode: Tier, Tank Icon, Player Name, Health Bar, HP Percentage and Type Icon.

Installation

If you're new to XVM follow the steps below:

If you already have XVM, follow the steps below:

  • Download WoW style XVM and add or replace the XVM.xvmconf file in World of Tanks\res_mods\[game version]\gui\flash\ with the downloaded XVM.xvmconf file.
  • Start the game from xvm-stat.exe

It's still there, and even bigger with this version. Try disabling other addons, probably one of them is conflicting with it.

  • #260

Also. I noticed that during battle, when pressing Alt, and teams panel pops out, each players WR for current tank is shown. Can this be somehow changed to players overall Win Ratio? Because, again, I am more used to older configs where overall WR was shown for each player.

  • #265

To use overall win rate instead of per vehicle win rate, replace all {{t-rating:3}} to {{rating:3}} in XVM.xvmconf file.

  • #259

Hi! I love this mod, been using its old config file for maybe last 5 patches. Now I decided to move on and it's even better, because of hitlog, minimap etc.

BUT... but I can't get used to that WN6 rating. Is there any way how I could switch back to old eff values. I mean, I like the colors and so on, it's just that I would like to see players efficiency rating not WN6. Is it possible to change this somehow?

  • #264

    Hello Raseetaajs, thanks for the feedback. WN6 ratings are more accurate compared to old formula, however to use old efficiency ratings open XVM.xvmconf file with a text editor then search and replace (Ctrl+H by default) all {{wn}} to {{eff}}

Oh, thanks for the answer. Really appreciate your individual approach. However, all things considered, I guess I will stay with WN6 (as you said: it is more accurate), so thanks for implementing it. But anyway it's great that it can be changed anytime. So once again guys, really good job on this mod.

  • #255

NIce mode, but one question, is there anyway to keep the original health bars (like the Default OTM in alternatives)  but keep the wow style color names?

  • #258

It's not possible at this moment. Over target markers can be either default OTM or either WoW style. However in both styles, loading and tab screens as well as player panels are colored with WoW style palette.

  • #252

Is it possible to show platton members in the player panel and the dmg from platton members in the original orange, with this config? And is it possible to make the Map bigger? I am not able to find an Option for this in the config.

    Thx Julianus

  • #253

Hi Julianus, can you be more specific about the Player Panel please, which panel you are reffering to?

Damage from Platoon members are colored purple, because it tends to get mixed with player damage when shooting in sync with platoon members.

Yes, you can use numpad "+" and "-" buttons while in game to resize minimap at your wish.

  • #276

Ah ok, minimap is still not working for me, and = and - have no effect and in Settings > Controls therw is no Minimap > Zoom In/Out. But thanks a lot  for your great work with this Mod and  the great support.

  • #256

Yes, platoon member's visibility should be increased however it's not possible to change colors of indivisual tanks in the player panels or over target markers. We're looking for solutions for this issue.

About minimap, it seems wargaming changed default keybindings, so you should use = and - or you can change these keybindings in Settings > Controls > Minimap > Zoom In/Out.

  • #254

ah ok, thats great, i thougt purple is "epic" dmg. I mean the small Player Panel (i think its the medium 1 or 2 Panel) where only the Tank Names are shown. In the big player panel I recognize my platoon mates because the player name is colored and the tank name is orange. I think for my platoon members orange is more usefull because i know their WN6 but it's more easy to see if they are still alive when they are colored orange becaue i only see their tankname in this panel. I dont know why, but + and - dont work for me. (I have no other mods).

  • #248

Ermmmm Hi I love this mod but i cant get it to work. All I get is % chance of winning ang the swapped tank player icons thingy. I dont get stats or colours. PLEASE HELP!

    I love Hetalia.... PEACE OUT!

Hello, try reinstalling both XVM and XVM Stats as well as WoW Style XVM (3 different file downloads & installs). This should solve the problem.
