What is Potato UI?

PotatoUI is a UI addon that replaces a large portion of the default Carbine UI with simplified, yet highly customizable, UI elements. 


Customizable Modules By pressing the "Edit" button on the PotatoUI Toolbox, or by typing /potatoedit, PotatoUI will enter Editor Mode. This allows modules to be customized, moved, or resized. You can resize by dragging one of the corners, or entering values. Each frame is customizable via a menu once selected.

/pui or /potatoui - Toggles visibility of the "Editor toolbox", the frame that reads PotatoUI and has the edit and reset buttons.

/potatoedit - Toggles Editor Mode without having to press the button.

/potatoreset - Resets frames to default values (only works in Editor Mode).

Fine Tuned Positioning - While in Editor Mode, frames can be moved with keyboard commands. Arrow keys will move a frame, while the arrows on the number pad (2, 4, 6, 8) will resize it!

    Potato Castbars doesn't seem to like me.  Luckily it is a seperate addon so the rest of PUI works.

    Damn I want to use this.... it's mostly the ability to individiaulyl change hte settings for EACH element, so if I want to change one thing but not everything. Modularity is SUPER useful... does this still work? :£

    So is there something wrong with the addon currently? I've been trying and trying to get this to work, but it's not showing up on my Wildstar addon list at all. Nothing. 

    I've extracted it to the correct folder (%Appdata%, NCSoft, Wildstar, Addons folder) but still not showing up no matter what I try.

    Am I just missing something or is it messed up currently?

    Im not sure why, but my mount health bar will not decrease or increase upon health loss or gains.. It just stays full and only the Percetange or detailed info will change. Anyway to fix this? Thanks

    Hey, love the addon.

    I'm having a strange issue of target/focus frame buff/debuffs not showing tooltips if they're on the left 4 slots. So, if I grow the buff/debuffs from the left, any icons after the 4th will display a tooltip, while any before will not. If I grow them from the right, they will display tooltips until they reach the 4th slot from the left. It's as if there's a deadzone where tooltips are not displayed. Any idea why this is? I don't recall this happening until the latest update.

    What's even stranger is that I can interact with the buffs. If I'm targetting myself with any sort of boost up, I can actually right click the buff through the target frame and remove the buff from myself, even though the tooltip is not displaying.

    Curse client updates only up to v2.8.1  Manually updating to v2.8.2 does not fix the problem.  Disabling Potato Castbars does not display Carbine Castbars, despite Addon being enabled.  Odd.

    UPDATE:  After much disabling other addons and /reloadui, I found that simply changing the Castbar Option from "Show when not full" to "Show Always" clears up the error msg and displays properly.  I have no idea why; I expected conflicts with other addons.

    I love PotatoUI; one of my very most favorite of WildStar addons!

    Could you give us a status update on the next version?  Development still active?

    Development is still active, but for all intents and purposes could be considered inactive. The soonest there will be an update will be early February; I've been busy with the holidays and trying to find employment.

    Edit: I also took over development for IconLoot and RuneMaster, on top of making 2 new addons myself, so I've been a bit busy.

    What is this that I circled?  It appears when the Hazard menus are displayed such as the sceech cave in northern wastes and the part in Omnicore where you defend Belle Walker.

    Odd, I don't recall ever typing "Heat" into the code. Are you sure that's PotatoUI?

    I DID add a heat bar, but it doesn't have the text "Heat" included. Carbine added them in Drop 3 as indicators for heat. (In the case of that cave, when it reaches 30 you start slowing and taking damage, until you reach a fire.) Try opening editor and messing around to make sure that text is from PotatoUI; I don't think that's me...
