Front End Developer

The Curse MCN team provides technology and services for YouTube content creators. As a Frontend Engineer, you will be pivotal in the product development cycle, ship new features and collaborate with others in key decisions around product and engineering needs. We value experience building responsive web applications as well as having a sense for design and UX. This position will attack unique problems from all angles, never settling for a brute force method. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with designers and developers to develop modern, intuitive user interfaces for our web properties
  • Collaborate and contribute to the design, look, and feel of our web properties & emails
  • Continuously improve the user experience by reviewing website usage statistics, communicating with our users, and using the websites
  • Adhere and recommend improvements to project coding standards
  • Work in a team environment with shared code; disciplined use of source code control and process documentation
  • Improve JS and CSS quality by conducting code analysis, and recommending changes in policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of web-based front end programming experience using CSS, JavaScript, and HTML
  • Understand and preferably experience with Sass or similar derived css framework
  • Experience with Source Control, preferably Git
  • Experience with templating patterns and best practices, such as partials and mixins
  • Experience translating wireframes into usable interfaces
  • Track record of building and maintaining modern web applications
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of browser compatibility and web standards and accessibility
  • Ability to participate in multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity working in sprints & agile software development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with graphing and reporting apis such as d3js or highcharts
  • Experience with a consumer facing organization in a quantitative capacity
  • Experience with usability testing and visual design
  • Familiarity with continuous integration tools, writing unit tests
  • SEO
